@@kyieberryJambalaya is uniquely American. ADOS (Afro American descendants of slaves) made it but they combined Native American, French, and African cuisine to make something unique. The only thing similar is Paella, but not much.
Man this looks unreal. I worked in Baton Rouge for a few months last year & became obsessed with the food. I do door to door so tons of clients gave me some food. So many mommas and grandmas that introduced me to loads of new foods. Jumbalaya, Gumbo, crawfish & more. Loved my time down there
Bro….you never sanitize a cooking space with Clorox bleach lol. Soap and water my man. If you are going to attempt to influence be educated or trained on the topic
My step dad, liked Jumbalaya, but my mother has Polish ancestry, and she liked cabbage. We came up with a family recipe that is essentially Jumbalaya, substituting Cabbage for Rice, and adding a few other things that came out very very nice.
I'ma full time cajun and that sounds delicious! My family is cajun French/irish so we would always have smothered cabbage with smoked sausage. Thanks for sharing!
Jambalaya is the American paella though don't think it as a disrespect what I mean is that they are both great also as a side note paella in Spain has many and I mean many different variants

I'm a horrible cook who's literally only had about 6 meals in my normal "rotation" for suppers, lol. (As embarrassing as that is to say). But I've recently just started making myself try new recipes that I find in shorts on YT. I figured, if they can explain, start to finish in under a minute, then surely that's easy enough for me, lmao. THIS is definitely getting cooked at my house next week! It looks absolutely delicious, and you couldn't have explained it more clearly! Thank you! ❤
Fam bring that PRESSURE!!!! Looking like what my Aunt Ida used to make.... 😞😞 I miss you auntie, but don't worry, I got ALL your culinary secrets locked in and I ain't shared them with NOBODY!!!😊😊😊
Thanks for not calling it Cajun. Cajun Jambalaya is Brown. Rule of thumb if it has tomatoes it's Creole. If that same dish Doesn't it's Cajun. Trust me it's totally different.
One request. Idk if you will understand what I'm typing, but please put English subtitles in this video. I wanna make this but I cant understand whatever language you're speaking. Thanks.
WELL IM STARVED; WHO WANTS SOME JAMBALAYA? MY MOTHER ONCE SHOWED ME A WONDERFUL RECIPE FOR JAMBALAYA, IN FACT, IT NEARLY KILLED HER! YOU COULD SAY THAT KICK WAS RIGHT OUT OF HELL AHAHAHHH
💯 please sanitize your work space but please find something less toxic to you and your family that stuff is really bad for you I'd rather cross contaminate my food with raw meat then that stuff 😮
Thats a great i forgot what its called but "If your not sneasing its not seasoned" okay you muight not think this is possible but i over seasond it before
