Sanderstead faced their arch-rivals Kingstonians today in New Malden. Always a competitive game between these two sides - and even a bit of niggle on occasions. Sanderstead have yet to beat this team but this game we felt confident....

Tricky was clocked at 76 mph at lords in December 2017 out of season. Both bowlers have played very good level football and rugby in winter so do not train for cricket. tricky is bowling much faster now than he was in December having trained and played and loosened the shoulders up which would make him around or just over 80 mph. George is quicker at the moment so comfortably over 80 mph I would imagine. The what if question is, if they spent as much time training with half as much coaching as the academy lads how fast could they be? A huge amount of talent and potential missed and maybe remaining unfulfilled due lack of opportunity. I do know they are too quick for most and would love a chance to show what they could produce given the chance by someone.

Ha - that's one of the groundsman from The Oval who was working on the next door pitch. He sounds like a Sheffield lad..... Shareef works at Its Just Cricket (at least he used to). Not sue where Jacko got his pads from.

I have watched your videos all season and thoroughly enjoyed them, agree that their opening batsman was dropped, brilliant bowling by George, Tricky got over excited today and didn't perform as well as he usually does, but the batsman got the job done without too many mishaps. One thing that does surprise me about your team is how few 50s your team get, and I have never seen a century in the time I have watched the videos.

Agree about the big scores - it is the main weakness in this team, but youth is on its side and the grit that comes with maturity will see the big scores follow.

Watching these video's it seems that the guys get out to the spinners a lot. That should be your bowler where you get the easy 4 to 5 runs an over. Unless you have a guy who can clear the fench easily. Great video's. That one batter who faced 3 balls waved the white flag early. If you want to get out, that is the way to bat.

Yes - one of the perils of being a small club in huge urban area is that it is easy for people to move around. However, we do have players who will be back from injury, or working away from Sanderstead. Plus we have some great youngsters coming through - all clubs evolve….

It’s a hangover from last season - there was an administrative error for the registration of our long time overseas player at the start of last season - the penalty finally got registered on the league table.
