But no one watches cricket These days lol...2015 world cup final at mcg had an attendence of 90k people... While argentina vs brazil friendly match in 2016 had an attendence of 98k at mcg😂

When I remember the name MCG I think about only those huge boundary lines 4 to 5 slip fielders a ball coming with a great out swing slip fielder catches and crowd roars that means MCG = Cricket 🌏❤️
"Nothing can match it"...not sure about that. There is a magical transformation of the Sydney Cricket Ground to be seen on YT. It was done in 2014 for the season opening game of that year's Major League Baseball competition. The Dodgers had a home game against Arizona on a field set up by MLB groundsmen. The conversion had to conform to MLB playing standards. It won global awards.
The Footy Fan 24 nah basketball can be held there, like marvel they held a basketball game there, but then again it’s an indoor sport so the MCG wouldn’t be good enough
Legends know that it isn't merely cricket ground. In fact, it became cricket ground much later. It was a normal ground before and worldwide known as *The G*
After seeing a lot of comments of people from subcontinent. I can be sure that they can't look anything beyond cricket. Even though cricket is dead in Australia and England.
AFL is considered most popular sport in Australia. Although it's a cricket ground, people hardly watch cricket here in melbourne. Cricket is nearly at dying position here in Australia because lack of interest in youngstars. More youngstars are into onlinegamings few likes AFL. Another reason is that people in Australia now days considered cricket as a third world sport, also most people found it boring. Yet MCG has lot of history about cricket, so ironically i think the name of this ground will never change.
lol man. I think you don't know definition of 3rd world. 3rd world countries were those who didn't participated in world war. Also BBL have more attendance than AFL
Haha I mean you can do whatever you want to do in stadium but don't forget one thing this stadium has so much to do with the history of a sports . MCG has a very crucial role in history of cricket .. And you think why cricket is dying a sports with such a rich history world historic stadium like MCG is hosting other sports and people considering it as a good move .. .There was a time when Aus was undefeatable at home .Nowadays it's pitch ...:)
I don't think any football can match the level of entertainment ind vs pak 23 Oct game gave at MCG Football has it's own limitations to give entertainment
