Ahhh. We got a shout-out 🎉🎉 I'm so very humbled for it. Thank you. Great episode comparing both versions. Thank you for describing the plot to the short cause it was tough to understand when I watched it. Both are unrelated to each other but while in the short. That character's actions leads to his death. I feel the actions he takes in the future leads to his rebirth or evolving
The Crimes of the Future feature features infectious diseases which's no mean feat! During covid I binge watched every Cronenberg movie and somehow missed the whole "no teenagers" common theme but you're absolutely right, Spider and Dead Ringers come to mind and I guess maybe as an exception Maps to the Stars has some very awful teens..? Anyway, great breakdown and love the parallels you made, hoping to see more tinfoil hats in future videos!
Really enjoyed this review!. Definitely not a film for everyone but it's one I really enjoyed, but that's because I'm a big Cronenberg fan so I was going to find a way to like it no matter what, Lol. It's certainly a twisted film with some pretty dark subject matter. Actually you're right about the whole teens thing. Thinking about it you rarely see one in his movies. I remember one in Shivers who the doctor character kills off early on but I genuinely can't think of another off the top off my head.
@@GirlBehindTheCounter There's me saying I'm a big Cronenberg fan but I genuinely don't remember Maps To The Stars. Going to have to re-watch that now to refresh my memory.
