Such excellent content and explanation! Thank you! (Criminal law defendants are not liable, they are guilty. Torts defendants are liable.)

Criminal defendants are criminally liable, tort defendants are civilly liable.

@studicata, Great video, PLEASE HELP.... Ok, where can I find published Common Laws. MPC, and Modern law charted, listed snd codified? Where are the laws found?

Lexis Nexis has published case laws (judiciary source of law) but there are many other resources where you can find the information. Statutes are a separate primary authority (as legislative source of law).

What's the difference between an arrest and a conviction
@isabelamacavei1333
@isabelamacavei1333 3 года назад
Don't be lazy! Think about it! Someone could be arrested (sometimes even wrongfully) but proven not guilty in the court of law, whereas a conviction means that there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt of the defendant being guilty.

@11:00 - Wouldn’t the discharge of firearm in crowded room example be charged as Second Degree murder, not a lesser reckless act that’s a further step removed from the risk of harm, like one intending to drink alcohol and maybe even drive but not kill someone as a DUI driver (manslaughter)?
@generaldilvry69
@generaldilvry69 4 года назад
@ 31:00 exactly - 2nd or common law murder
