I’m pretty sure it’s against the law to use lyrics from a song in a case, this came up for someone in California. I read about it in school but don’t remember the details

@@luxury8346 I’m from south FL, trust me I’ve listened to trap/rap music my entire life lol, but that’s irrelevant. This country needs and will continue to need prosecutors that are more reflective of the people and communities that they are prosecuting, instead of over zealous people who don’t understand the people or the community. I had total discretion over my cases (as long as I could justify my offers), which helped further my objectives. Hope that helps you understand why (some) people of color seek to work on this side. I did my time and now practicing on the civil side. ❤️

Hey Bruce, what happens if they put a disclaimer at the beginning of each video/song saying the lyrics are all fictional and for entertainment purposes only? can what they say still be used against them or does the disclaimer help protect them
