Love this band, brings so many memories 😊. This band also puts the nay sayers to shame as in this album had such a huge shift in musical style to transcendence yet still kicked some serious arse. Very under rated
@@MrSUPERTWINKIE You should make an effort to measure what is hate and what is dislike and what is a simple opinion. Hate is a VERY strong feeling. I don't hate anyone, or anything, never did, never had a reason to. I don't think i even felt hate for anything or anyone. You should rethink where your feelings are. You can love, like, accept, ignore, dislike, but when you get to hate something or someone, you're just letting the universe know you're a wildcard, or you have no fukin idea of what it even means. HATE is something you never want to feel. There's no hate for anything here.
@@metalheart80s I never mentioned album, I said the singles. All of the singles sound like second-rate glam metal. As for Faith No More, I like all of their albums except for Album of the Year.

I have this on cd. They tried the hair metal thing and failed. I personally don't care because he can sing circles around other vocalists ..but it is kind of a limp wristed video. Anyhoo, say no to alcohol, if you can, I can't but I'm onto my 33rd and a half, 44th and a third duel with a christ sect that keeps trying to rear its ugly snake head up my poopooee shootooee, whilst I keep trying to figure out why I still exist. This song screams hair metal (the term is not used in a negative manner anyway.. It aint the 1990s anymore)... And dont say Hard Eock since thats more older older Whitesnake, Black Sabbath ozzy era, Deep Purple, Ram Jam etc.

Clearly you care about the majority since you mentioned it. The problem is not in taste but in the ability to comprehend when a band plays with its soul and when for profit. Even if I liked this song the intentions behind it (which scream sell-out) would have put me off
As soon as I saw this video, I knew the Crimson Glory that I loved was gone. Everything I loved about them was missing. This was like generic post-glam.
They didn't. This was all Midnight shit, and the others went along. Crimson Glory went along recruiting Wade Black and release their best album, Astronomica. Wade Black was a monster.
DyingCr0w many consider their best album to be transcendence. It’s definitely a milestone in the progressive metal movement. I don’t mind astronomica but the drum machine gets annoying after a while, and while wade black is a great vocalist, his falsetto doesn’t even come close to midnight’s powerful chest voice on transcendence and the debut. However on this album you can tell he lost his voice
@@axlh.1827 It's not about the powerful voice, it's about how he contributed to Crimson Glory. Lyrics like in "In Dark Places" and "Transcendence" are imprinted on me, but his voice is not. I was never impressed with his high notes, he was just a thing he could do, and bands back then were all about hitting the high notes to impress. Kind Diamond? The best falsetto ever. And an assortment of growls to complement. Or Kenn Nardi from Anacrusis, his voice added a lot of emotion to his stuff, and he didn't squeak high notes, his voice was as raw as it could be. The reason why Astronomica is my favorite album is the theme the chose to pursue -only possible without Midnight -, how fukin god it is, and because Wade Black did a stellar job in it. Transcendence sounds immature, all over the place, because it doesn't follow a theme. That was all good back in the day, but caused it to age poorly. It's all over the place. I love "In Dark Places" and "Transcendence", but the rest... irrelevant. There are bits and pieces here on youtube that suggest Midnight would end up in the missing, writing love songs. Then he died, and when ppl die like that, like Kurt Cobain, they become idols (?) because they can't fuck things up anymore. Midnight would have ended up writing love songs to some pop band. Honestly, i think he was lucky. Live fast and furious, leave a mark, before you fuck it all up. He had a serious alcoholism problem, he would have fucked it up anyway.

Sure he wasn’t a huge legend, but the dude was a great singer and knew how to write beautiful songs. And no one is perfect, look at robbin Crosby, Nikki sixx, Phil anselmo, etc, they all had alcohol or drug problems and they “fucked up” too. And many more. It wasn’t just midnight. And if you think astronomica is their best album, then that’s great, music is a subjective art form, and because someone says something is good doesn’t mean it is and vice versa, everyone has different tastes. Just because you don’t like midnight doesn’t mean he’s a fuck up or can’t sing. And so what if he ended up singing for a pop band? He did what he wanted and followed his heart making the music he loved after crimson glory, and just because his later stuff wasn’t metal doesn’t mean it’s automatically garbage. If he still were alive today he would’ve still been making music but it’s unfortunate that he had his problems.

I remember being SO excited seeing Crimson Glory had a new cd, so I bought it. I remember being SO confused, and EXTREMELY pissed that the power/progressive sound was GONE!!! Such a let down. On its own, had it come out before the self titled, and Transcendence, this would have been a decent rock cd, but, they set the bar so fucking high, then kicked the motherfucker in half and beat themselves retarded with it, and released this. I'll forever be a fan, but, this is not part of their legacy material imo. Not sorry.
Totally agree. I bougth the first self titled Crimson Glory and in 1988 bought transcendence. The two gems, transcendence being, imo, their masterpiece, deserved a Third of a perfect pair. I ve ordered the record... When I saw the cover art reminded me a bit of South of heaven, slayer... The line up was so different, Ben Jackson (guitar) and Dana Burnell (Drums) were gone and.... Well, it took me sometime to embrace the new Crimson Glory. Still listen to that record, strand and beautiful, and indeed it is strange and beautiful. But my Crimson Glory will forever be the two first records plus the bonus track Dream Dancer Midnight R. I. P Edit: Lately, when when driving my truck I ve been listening to Astronomica and... Well, must say that yeah, it has some interesting parts Props up from 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
"Well, if Def Leppard and Bon Jovi can make millions doing this kind of music..." Yeah, this is one of the worst career decisions of any artist I know and love. It's almost fascinating how ill-suited a vocal deity like Midnight is at doing this type of sleazy stadium anthem hard rock. And to think, this was only a year after Queensrÿche released the masterful Empire, which ideally should have been a leading light for Crimson Glory's third album. Instead, they appear to have heard Cherry Pie by Warrant, and used that as an inspiration instead.
