Best British sitcom of all time. Just give it a chance. Once season 2 arrives, there's more character development, better acting = it really evolves. Let's just hope you aren't one of the 99% who get their PS videos copyright struck.
Probably my favourite comedy of all time. It's true there's not a great deal particularly romantic about the battle of Stalingrad, however David Mitchell did apparently woo Victoria with tales of the battle of Crecy and how the ostrich feathers became the emblem of the Prince of Wales.
Peep show is quite wild and unpredictable except the two protagonists are entombed in their own misery. It really is quite funny. It's worth sticking with though it so irredeemably depressing (in outcome) but also funny (by the canons of British humour) at the same time.
I don’t think any other show has ever been able to maintain the same balance: a bit of hope for the characters due to some minor progress, followed by crushing defeat, followed by a return of hope. The depressing loop of their lives is so engaging
Dating on TV is a brilliant idea. You get the public to film your content, it costs you nothing, you get the public to phone a premium rate phone line if they want a date and you get the advertisers to phone a premium rate number to pick up their messages and you put it on late at night/ early morning when the advertising revenue is crappy anyway.
Othello is also a board game which you have reversible counters, which you have black and white, the object of the game is to get as most of your colours on the board, as long as you have a one of your colours, you can put counters anywhere.

Alpen is a brand name for Swiss Muesli. Muesli is a mix of Oats, raisins and other stuff - a bit like a dryer and less sugary Granola without all the honey.
I'm not a Brit, I only know of this show through piracy. Nobody else around me has ever heard of it, but it's one of my favorite shows ever. I've never seen anyone else react to it, so I'm going to check out your ride.
its diffrent,,,, but very very very good,,, i think its 9 series,,,,, one of my covid discoveries id watched bits over the years but watched it start to finish when we all got locked down and thats when all the bits came together,,,,, and later on it talkes cringe to a whole new level wonderfull
I agree with jez. Acupuncture didn't cure leukemia. This is from personal experience but not me. It's not that harsh it's the truth. Modern medicine did work though so happy ending. I sympathise with Jeremy there. He was advocating for somebody to not get ripped off. It's one of the only times in the whole show that I think he was thinking of others.
Did you guys notice that the woman who plays Sophie is none other than Olivia Coleman who went on to become one of our finest academy award winning actresses and has been in many TV dramas and films since.
I was never a huge fan of the cringe stuff, so this episode isn't very good to me, but I do remember a lot of good bits later in the series. It'll be interesting to see how I feel about it now I'm a bit older. Hope you guys enjoy it either way
