Peep Show is such a nice slow burner that eases you in, when shows were given the time to breath and settle, because audiences were not raised on instant segments of ultimately meaningless gratification. It ramps up in situational hilarity, and a large part of that is because of the time initially spent getting to know the characters.
Yanks have never seen a shower hoses that connect to taps, they also don't use taps with separate hot and cold, you words of wisdom may have been lost in translation there lol...peace
you say this but i stayed at a house in tulsa oklahoma and they had a sink with 2 taps, hot and cold, they had a splitter attachment just like we had in the uk growing up, that was going straight into the bathtub with a shower head on it. the bath had one singular hot/cold mixer tap. (faucet i spose..) they also had a fucking weird cushioned toilet seat. urgh@@bexbugoutsurvivor
You’d be surprised what a yank has or hasn’t seen lol. You’re correct that the shower hose would be a rarity. But separate hot and cold faucets are very common. I have 3 single faucets and3 double faucets in my house.
I've seen a few people react to peep show and you guys have just really thrown yourselves into the series. Everyone else took a few episodes trying to figure out what the hell they were watching
26:40 In the UK in the 70s/80s we couldn't afford showers, so you could buy these crappy plastic showerheads things that you pushed on the taps and pretend you were posh. They really were shit.
So glad you guys are finally getting round to this show. Have patience with it. It just gets better and better, with the cringe factor going through the roof from series 2. You'll be hiding behind your sofas very soon.
Brilliant. That's the beauty of the two main characters, we've all probably been inappropriately hedonistic or socially awkward at different times and places and with different people.
Bob Ross energy drink !!!, What next Black Sabbath flavoured Lettuce or the Stephen Hawkins sponsored 100 meters Hurdles. Great reaction though you guys had me in stitches
Glad to see you guys are watching Peep Show! It can be a slow burn for some people, but trust me when i say stick with it. This show gets more depraved and absurd as it goes on.
The UK has a hot and cold tap so we use a connector to do things like mix the water so you can wash your hair in the bath. Here they use the connector to top up the whiskey with water.
2 of my favourite parts in this episode. Jeremys facial spasm and "I like you and if you can't handle it you can just... you know, fuck off" Season 1 is great. As good as the rest of the show.
The actor who plays Geoff was a survivor of the Hillsborough stadium disaster and was deeply traumatised by both the event and the untrue accusations made against the fans afterwards.
@@thegroovetube3247 Yes, because god forbid we should show any interest in or compassion for another person. Like the compassion I feel for the poor people forced to interact with you in real life...
Hmm. The mask slipped rather quickly. Thanks for ignoring, or maybe simply not getting, the point and resorting to abuse. Nothing demonstrates an intelligent, compassionate nature quite so well as the instant use of childish personal insults.
@@thegroovetube3247 You thought you were actually making a point? Beyond telling us all how vile you are, of course, because that came through loud and clear.
@thegroovetube3247 You can act as high and mighty as you want, but your original comment deserved the response you got. If you can't recognise that, then that's your issue and nobody else's
Guys, what's happened to the remainder of Series 4 of Blackadder? If nothing else, you really MUST watch the final episode. Without wanting to post a "spoiler", the ending is in stark contrast to all other Blackadder episodes. I'm sure you'd be shocked and amazed at the way it ends.
This is a show that asks you to be invested in two of the most instantly unlikable main characters ever written. That’s a hard job but luckily it’s just so well written and performed that it gets away with it.
