I started out playing ff2 on Super Nintendo, then 3, 7 and 8on ps1, 9 and 10 on ps2…I consider myself a final fantasy fanatic, yet I’ve never played crisis core. I’m going to buy this remake

Been trying to find an answer for a while if there any sort of exploration/puzzles in this game or is it simply just running in and beating things up? Dont mean a huge world full of secrets but would be good to have the occasional hidden treasure chest to find. Another great review!

i never got to finish the original game so i'm looking forward to this. i played it when i had my PSP but i just never got around to beating it, which kills me to this day. great review Alex and that story about the moron who never returned your wife's copy? love how you stuck it to him🤣🤣

A few questions. Is the Japanese voice acting good? Because its more a linear level fighter should i get it on switch? Is the story any good? Will the combat and random encounters get boring? How much game time will i get if i try 100% it and is it going to be VERY tedious to so. Keep in mind im a very casual gamer and dont play hours on end. Thanks

I cant staaaaand the new voice acting, to the point i got a refund on mine and im just replaying my psp version. To me both the voice acting and gameplay is better

I personally still have my dislike about Zack's new voice and I know I know, I've heard before people saying you'll get used to it, I can't be that optimistic about it. A voice to me has to fit the character immediately when you boot up the game and if I hear that the voice doesn't fit the character at all, it just feels awkward and uncanny and even when you do get to those moments where they can try, it still feels awkward and stilted, I'm looking at you Rex from xenoblade Chronicles 2. In this case it's more along the lines of I like his old voice actor more than his new one and I personally wish that they could have at least tried to find someone who can match the same energy that the original Zack VA had just so that way it can feel like Zack if that makes any sense. Other than that, I had no distrust in the gameplay mechanics because I knew it was gonna be a better version of the original PSP version. The fact that you can store your limit breaks in this version as well as the combat being way more fluid definitely gonna make those short time sinks go by super quick. Yeah there's still the little issue of my other dislike which is the DMW system and the fact that well you can run from one side of the map and not get into any battles at all just like in the PSP original but at least it's decently cheap when compared to the FF7 remake stuff in the future and I do wanna play the game again and hopefully finally beat the final boss and not have to die and then go all the way back to the entire fight again with no ability to skip cut scenes lol. "It allows SE to buy themselves some time before Rebirth". Don't forget SE is releasing freaking FF16 before Rebirth. FF16 is way more of an ambitious project than Rebirth I beleive.
