i am 12 and i just made them! these cookies are super exspensive in my country, but these are cheap, my familiy and me loved them! thanks so much for the recipe!
Isabel van Vels it’s not like they asked for her address lol. They only asked what country they are from because they mentioned they don’t have these cookies wherever they live. The person was just wondering what country they live in since they said they don’t have these cookies there. It’s not inappropriate.
Mrs. Jaworski, you have a soft-spot in my heart. You are a doppelganger of my high school French teacher. You both share just the right tone of voice and easy, comfortable way of speaking to your classrooms. Also, I've made several of your recipes and, for me, you're right up there with Chef John, another of my favorites, who reminds me of one of my high school teachers. Both amazing humans. BTW, we were probably in high school at the same time. I'm class of 1986. 😚
I must say this a really good cookie recipe, when warm cookie is soft on the inside and edges are crunchy. When cookie is cooled it's crunchy just the way I like it! I also added some nuts which made it special!
Cookies came out perfect just like what i expected, i used honey but i also added 1 tsp of almond extract to pop the taste. Perfect cookie. I use almond extract in all of my cookies, it just adds a wonderful taste. I love and try all of your recipe and pleased with everyone.
Tried this today and absolutely amazing. Didn’t have 2 of the ingredients so I did some substitution. Corn syrup I used pancake syrup instead and rice cereal I used regular honey brunches cereal. Like it said absolutely amazing
We love your comments however due to our busy schedule questions on the recipes may take some time. We check our Facebook page more often so if you would like a quicker answer post your question there. A link to our Facebook page is in the description above.
I try to make oatmeal cookie, few days ago it so yummy. I follow your instructions and worth it. ...inside it's chewy and outside it's crispy. thank you so much for sharing this. God bless you ma'am Joy
Appreciate you sharing how to tell when it is done. Bcos most recipes usually say bake till golden brown but does not mention that the centre can be a little soft. So thanks again.
Stephanie, Great job, 5 Stars. Great presentation and clear instructions with options. No stupid music or gimmicks just a wonderful personality and a creative recipe.
Danu Sai I agree. every recipe has been very good for me. I think it is because Joy has experience and she demonstrates classic recipes that are well tested. She cites them too and doesn't try to take credit. She doesn't try to sell flashy new recipes that are duds.
The fan will work better if you have one. Otherwise only use the bottom, never the top. If you use a fan the temperature should be reduced by 25F or 15C. Many ovens reduce the temperature automatically so you should check to see if yours does as you don't want to reduce too much.
Ive watched your videos several times and Ive learned a lot from it and the step by step procedure and most specially the conversions. Thank you so much ma'am for your wonderful recipes.
I have been wanting to make oatmeal cookies for a long time, and glad I tuned into your video. I substituted chocolate for dry cranberries and walnuts and they came out excellent. Muy bueno, Gracias
Thank you for sharing your recipe Ms. Stephanie. I always make this and it’s my favorite cookie but I put less sugar, I just put 100grams of white sugar and 70 grams of brown sugar. I’m not sure if it affects the texture of the cookie but it works for me.
I made the cookie dough last night. Didn't have rice krispies on hand, so subbed it for more oats. Baked it this morning for my husband to bring to his office. And omg they turn out crunchy on the outside and soft chewy on the inside. Super yummy! Thanks Stephanie! Your recipes are foolproof!
These look wonderful! I am one of those strange that totally dislike chocolate chips in anything so will substitute raisins which I love. Really intrigued by the idea of the rice cereal
Sra.
I just made this recipe this cookie is extremely awesome. Unlike any other cookies I've ever made I followed the directions to the T. Wooooooooooow yummie 😛🍪
Hi Stephanie, I love watching your older videos while waiting for new ones! They keep me going in between! I’ve followed you for that long I can’t even remember when I joined, I follow many, but you’re my all time favourite and have learned so much, love jan xxxx
Tried these today and they are delicious! Didn't have any rice bubbles so used cocopops instead and it turned out fab, love the little crispy surprise when you bite into them :)
I made this for my family and friend last year. I will do it again this year! Love you recipe. I also tried simple cupcake recipe. It was delicious! Thank you for sharing. God bless you
Hi Stephanie. These cookies turned exactly the way you described them. Every adjective you used, honestly applied to them! It was a much appreciated Christmas treat. Thank you for being the best baking teacher one could ever wish to have. Truly yours, Maggie Thomas, Bangalore
Now i can do this, its so clear na measurement in a cups and tablespoon measurement, i do understand thans a lot you meantions the cups and tbsp . Love it..
As usual, a very thorough and instructive video with suggestions for whatever supplies you may or may not have in your kitchen. The rationale as to why specific ingredients are included (or left out) or why specific actions take place is interesting, even your own personal preferences (salted vs. unsalted butter). Thanks again Stephanie, I look forward to your videos every time. P.s. made a variation of your NY cheesecake once again yesterday.
Hello, im elena o. torres from the philippines, i've been following your videos, i love it. I like your oven, iwish i could have one like yours. I've learned so much from you ang your videos. Thank you, . GOD BLESS....
Hi Stephanie, I have been following your recipes for many years and I must say that they all come out perfect just as you say. I love the way you explain everything and also the substitutions for ingredients. I am a Chef but I just love following your methods and style of baking...However, I having problems with sponge cakes..they always come out solid and with a drop in the middle of the cake. I have tried many different recipes and the problem is still happening. Can I make your vanilla cake as a whole cake instead of layering it, but with the frosting? I really need your advice. Also, a recipe for sponge cake please...thank you and keep up the good work you are doing. May God continue to give you the wisdom to teach us all so we can do something to help ourselves and to provide for our families....Thank You again....
I love this recipe!! I used plain cornflakes (crushed) instead of rice kripsy as they’re cheaper in my country! the cookie was kinda too sweet for me, so should I reduce brown/white sugar?
I like your video, tks. Will try your recipe. They look delicious. I am not a big baker. Some people talk too much on their recipe videos. You don't. I like that. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Stay safe. 🤗
My batter is so soft. Right from the beginning when i beat the butter. The host said room temperature but it looks like it must be a little colder than the room temp .. Also i dont have a stand mixer.. I just used my spatula.. Is that that bad?
John Patrick Sarmiento If you found your batter is really soft, you could place it into the fridge until firm. You don't have to use a stand mixer, you can mix the batter by hand. Maybe next time have your butter a little colder.
I just watched this video even though you made it a few years ago but oatmeal cookies are always good…I saw the word “classic” so wanted to compare yours to my family’s recipe…I have made these for over 60 years…I started my recipe box when I was 13 (1959)…I actually have the card out because I was going to make some today but now I make a whole batch, then freeze the balls in the freezer to use 4 or 6 at a time, otherwise I will eat all of them 🙄…our recipes were basically the same except mine uses shortening and raisins, more oatmeal instead of butter and chocolate chips, no rice crispies…try it ! I hope you love them also!!!
Omg!! we just made them and it's so delicious, I'm happy that I discovered this channel, we already made oatmeal cookies before but we followed a different recipe or different youtube channel but I prefer this recipe because it's so delicious. We are planning to make this cookies again!!
