Quick & Easy Crispy Oven Baked Buffalo Wings - Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Wings. So we all love the crunch of deep fried buffalo wings, but not the calories that come with them. Oven baked chicken wings are healthier, but not as crispy right?...well, that's about to change :)
My Crispy Oven Baked Buffalo Wings recipe uses a baking powder & salt coating to remove more water from the chicken wings, & then cooks them at two different temperatures to make them extra crispy & delicious.

INGREDIENTS (Serves 4 or 2 hungry people)
2lb / 1kg chicken wings - remove wing tips & cut wings in half into two pieces
1 tbsp baking powder (NOT baking soda)
½ teaspoon salt
Buffalo Wing Sauce
2 tbsp / 60g butter - melted
¼ cup Hot Sauce (Any brand or learn to make your own at • Homemade Red Hot Sauce... )
2 tsp brown sugar
¼ tsp salt
METHOD
STEP 1: Preheat oven to 250°F/120°C. Place the wings in a plastic bag, add the baking powder & salt, & mix together well.
STEP 2: Place wings skin side up on an oiled rack. Place on a baking tray (lined with foil if you want) & bake in the oven on a
lower shelf for 30 minutes.
STEP 3: Increase oven to 425°F/220°C & move the baking tray to a higher shelf for a further 40-50 minutes or until the wings are crispy.
STEP 4: Make the buffalo wing sauce by mixing together the melted butter, hot sauce, brown sugar & salt.
STEP 5: Add the wings to the sauce & mix together well. Grab some napkins & dive in :)
