hello everyone! I hope you enjoy this easy and delicious recipe! it is a bit time consuming but it really is just delicious. are you watching the Super Bowl tonight?! who are you rooting for? I am going for the Rams! thank you all so much for watching xoxo
Remembered I had a sweet potato in my pantry and started looking for vegetarian recipe ideas. I'm so glad I stumbled onto your channel, I'm gonna try this tonight. Thankyou for sharing.
This is so excellent. I think it is extremely budget friendly. I’ll bet they freeze beautifully as well. You could batch make this when sweet potatoes are on sale. AND, it looks super fancy! 😋
thank you Mary! Yes I have actually never tried freezing them they don't usually stick around long enough for that haha! but I think it would work let me know how it goes if you freeze them please!
This looks incredible Francesca! The hazelnuts sounds amazing! I totally need too cook with sweet potato more often, I forgot how much I love it! You always make me crave gnocchi! 😍❤️
Did it. Thanks for the new addition to the tool belt of irresistible recipes! Trying to go raw vegan, but this makes a nice cheat with plenty of nearly fresh raw add ons once gnocchi is cooked.
Yay! I am so glad you made it! Ahhh raw vegan is so hard I could never do it but major respect to you for trying! Just be careful and make sure you do a lot of research bc going raw vegan can be devoid of certain nutrients at times. Katefruitflowers was a raw vegan for a long time who did it really well.
@@ashleyburks4639 @Plantifully Based I have the best gurus (some decades “raw” vets) and I read a lot: Hippocrates, Tolstoy, the Mediterranean, SE Asian and my own tropical heritage “diets” are great guides and resources that make it a cake-walk.
thank you!! once you have rolled them all out into their own individual pieces you can place them on a baking sheet in the freezer for an hour to freeze individually and then transfer into a container. unless you are going to cook them within 24 hours I wouldn't suggest refrigerating. If you do refrigerate be sure to give a good sprinkle of flour so they don't stick too each too much and try your best to keep them seperate.
Delicious. Have you tried freezing the gnocchi, either before or after cooking? I have a large batch of potatoes to get through and would like to prepare gnocchi in advance for meal prep.
Hi! If you want to freeze them you can freeze them before cooking :) just make sure to individually freeze first before putting them in a container so they don’t clump together!
If I have real garlic can I mince it and add it to the butter? Does it dissolve into the butter or will it just burn? (I know nothing about cooking lol)
You can do that! Just definitely watch it and you’ll just have little bits of garlic it won’t dissolve but it will soften it a lot! Or you can just skip it all together whatever you like :)
Wow, that adding 'ini' to words in Italian meaning something being smaller was really interesting! I don't know I'm brave enough to make gnocchi! Do you think it takes time to master? Hope you're doing well girl!😘
yes I figured I would throw in a little Italian lesson hah! nooooo you can totally do them. it takes about 1-2 hours to make them your first time but it isn't really hard just more so time consuming! yes I have been doing alright hope you have too!!
I am not sure how oat flour would work it might be too heavy. for gluten free the best thing to do would be a gluten free 1:1 all purpose flour or I have seen a lot done with rice flour and potato starch! hope that helps
You can freeze them uncooked after you make them fresh. You can lay them on a baking sheet individually and allow them to firm up for at least 3 hours.
yes it will probably end up changing the texture a bit but you can. you may also need to adjust the amount of flour you use. let me know how it works out if you try!
Well ground nutmeg is a spice and hazelnuts are whole nuts. So I would only sprinkle a tiny bit of the nutmeg on top. If you bought whole nutmeg I don’t even think you can eat it like that? I just don’t want you to get sick!
@@PlantifullyBased actually I meant the potatoes themselves. I have some sweet potatoes that have some bruised parts so I have to cut them up so I can’t microwave them
@@alyssaanne4674 i would t suggest steaming them as it is going to add moisture to the potato. I would say microwave them anyway and then just cut off the bruised parts after. The more moisture the sweet potato has the more flour you need to use which results in a gummier, denser gnocchi.
Alexandria hahahah! They do that all The time. Whenever i watch vegan videos it’s like an ad for a fast food chicken sandwich. They don’t know what the heck they’re doing
I tried making sweet potato gnocchi for the first time last night and I got so frustrated that I totally lost my sh*t and threw it all in the garbage. I really wish I had seen this first. 😂
@@PlantifullyBased Thanks! I did give it another try, and although mine turned out pretty dense, I haven't lost all hope. I'm determined to get it right! 😄
