Not gonna lie, when I watched him get run over by that steam roller years ago, it looked real AF. Whoever designed that illusion did an amazingly good job.
I don't believe it's an illusion that yet he is? Protected? Magic is real? black magic? Witchcraft, Heck once in our history we would hang such in witch hunts? Makes me wonder? For the most I do believe it's a great illusion but some of these? Like the guy in huge Aquarium put his hand through the glass in front of a crowd is hard to explain he grabbed a card that somehow ended up inside it after hitting the outside that appeared no way possible that one card some how ended up right where they all hit but on the inside? Anyways just crazy
And I wonder how it’d look live? Seeing this kind of thing on tv is not the same, we know it’s a trick but actually seeing it is likely to be really freaky.
Once you realize it's all staged it kinda ruins magic tricks. It's cool stuff in person but kriss angel was one of those that ruined magic for me. He is definitely a douche nozzle.
@@anthonypawnee611 criss angel did use a ton of camera tricks by playing with the angles to make his "mind freaks" work... i have seen LEGIT tricks that have since gone beyond what this guy could do! if you dont believe me, look up either any card trick by shin lim of eric chien's ribbon trick and you will experience a real "mindfreak" and there is no camera tricks! in fact, the latter is a stationary continuous shot camera
I used to watch Chris Angel more than anything else a kid . I believed everything he did. I tried to be like him with his hair and skinny jeans; my mom bought me his magic kit for Christmas one year and I felt like I was connected to Chris Angel for some damn reason.

I feel like you MUST review the Ghost Hunters episode “Panic in Amarillo” where the entire haunting was faked by the family and the GAC crews figures it out upon reviewing the footage. There is soooooo much to unpack in that episode and you’d do it justice!! The fakers getting faked and they STILL released the episode instead of cancelling the episode and calling Child Protective Services on the family.
I mean, considering the episodes are always faked you know they knew the whole time the fam was faking it. Stupid stuff like that gets attention, like we’re talking about it rn lmao
As a Amarillo native, that episode only made me feel pure embarrassment. Supposedly, there was 200+ calls to cps and the community pretty much shunned the mom after.

The one trick I've retained from criss is when he swallowed a coin and he was guiding it through his body and cut his arm open a little to reveal the coin. That shit had me shook cuz I did not like it

@@Elena-eq1xe No, there was a show with Penn and Teller, forgot the name, something about being fooled. Whoever fooled Pen and Teller got the F you award I think they called it. It was a favorite in my house when it was on! It was really funny and neat! But then when the bad magicians came on, EVEN BETTER! Its so fun to actually figure out how they did the trick without the 2 telling the audience! They do that but in a way to not reveal the trick while revealing it to the magician on stage. If that makes sense! I'm bad at describing things! I remember one time when the magician lied to get the award. It was so bad of a trick, don't remember details or specifics, and he lied to get the award. Pen and teller both seemed confused and by the way the guy was acting it made me think that.

The steamroller trick is easy. There is a mat or springs under the broken glass. When the roller goes over him it pushes him down and when it rolls back his body comes back up.
all i remember is i was a preteen girl pining over him shirtless and seeing his muscles and wanting to be as edgy as him. it was a cringe era where we didnt know what cringe was yet, but we were better at being cringe than any other period of human history. why actually thought the cringe was good, we bathed in it. we called it edge, same thing looking back.
Fun Fact: I used to wholeheartedly believe in Criss Angel when I was a kid. Then I went to his show in vegas in like 2011 and I was "part of the show". I was in the front row and the staff there gave me a blanket to give him on stage with his cats on it and pretend I made it. That really busted the realty for me lol. I had to pretend I made it and then he used it in an illusion.
My uncle worked on the show and he said this bit was the most real stunt Criss did. He said they mixed that fake candy glass with real glass, and as you saw the big pieces were only on the edges. Also, there was some small pads under the mat and Criss just dispersed his body to evenly get rolled. It technically only rolled his legs which were pre-broken in order for it to roll smoothly.
Nah I ain't buying that, a depression under the blanket for him to fall into, which is sprung using air or mechanics so he returns as the roller reverses is way more viable, broke his legs is the most preposterous thing I've heard in a long time......
I know the joke about his family being in the show is a good one but it’s also probably the best part about this show, he made sure all his family ate with him

soooooooo, I have a Chris Angel experience. I went with my fiance to Vegas, and the Grand Canyon (proposed there😃, and no, we didn't get married at a vegas chapel lol). We got duped into a timeshare, one of the choices was a Chris Angel show, with dinner at some fancy restaurant. Thank God, after saying no probably 20 times (not exagerrating) at the timeshare presentation, we were on our way to see Chris Angel! (dripping with sarcasm). They kind of threw our tickets at us like "here you sh*tbags". He has a full set up there in vegas, you walk in, and there's all kinds of pictures of him in the lobby, and a bunch of freaky looking motorcycles of his. I'm not going to lie, the show was actually pretty entertaining. He has doves fly over the audience like right over your head, I thought one would fly into my face they were so low. He did one escape act where he hangs over the audience in a steel thing right over your head....I was kind of entertained, it was fun, BUT, he got weird lol. He only called women on stage, and flirted the whole set, it was cringey funny. We ended up leaving early because....well, we're alcoholics, and it was vegas, we were extremely sick from drinking all day, and vomited from a combo of street tacos, and strong pours all day (in the bathroom lol, security booted us, they were cool about it, they said they kick anyone out that vomits, because they've had experiences in the past with people getting belligerent afterwards, obviously, we were super embarassed, and meek about it, so they almost let us stay, but the head of security said it would be unfair to others if they'd let us stay)

I was OBSESSED with this dude. I thought he was the hottest and coolest guy (I was less than 13). Even got the magic set for Christmas. And the steamroller is my most vivid memory. But watching now, it's pretty lame? I feel like I remember it going all the way and over his head lmao. Obviously that's not feasible and that's why he started screaming at the planned time, but it makes it so lame. Like, I could proably get steamrolled to my waist, my guy. I used to watch this show as often as I could. Don’t know what I saw in it now, but it did teach my the one and only magic trick I know that still fools people so many years later.
@@thezerowulf2046 Take a tube of lipstick (if you can borrow it from the person you're doing the trick on it's even better) and discretely rub a bit of the lipstick on the bottom of your finger (doesn't matter which one.) Ask to see the person's hands and grab them, applying equal pressure among each of your fingers to not give away you are applying the lipstick to their hand. Ask which hand is dominant and then no matter which they pick choose the one where you placed the lipstick. Ask them to ball their fist and apply the lipstick to the top of their hand. Put your fist that didn't apply the lipstick underneath and as you rub the lipstick on their hand with the finger you used to apply it (so not to give away you already had lipstick on it) say something like "I'm going to use the energy from your hand to pass the lipstick through to mine." Tell them to concentrate as you do it. Then open your hand. Obviously, there won't be anything on it. You can act disappointed and confused. Say there must have been something wrong...or maybe...it just didn't go through all the way! That's when you open their palm to reveal the lipstick.
