I finished the ends with a flat seam. To start joining, I matched up where the red and black met and crocheted the tubes together a little past 1/2 way (26 stitches) on each side. This way the back is now like one solid piece. I also chose to crochet vs mattress stitch to help keep some stretch in it. Then I moved to joining the Turquoise tails together under the Fruit Salad tube to finish.
