R9 was so good that only his own body could stop him. He couldn’t walk for almost 2 years after one of his serious injuries and came back to the 2002 World Cup scoring 8 goals and lifting the World Cup for Brazil and winning the Balond or later that year. I don’t think we will ever see someone like R9 again.

He was pretty explosive in his prime and that's why opponents couldn't keep up to prevent him from scoring. It's also not only about being explosive but about the total package. Taking out your opponent, good shot, speed, tricks, scoring ability, game intelligence, he had it all in his prime. And he made it look all so easy. He was absolutely a joy to watch in that time 🫶🏼

Ronaldo nazarios prime was good but he couldnt mantain that for a long period of time due to injuries.
