in a circle drill thing, there are 2 players in the middle who supposed to touch the ball, the player (in the circle outline) who touch the ball before the ball was touched by one of the two players in the middle will substitute him and trying to touch the ball again. This is for passing and intercept training, sometimes there is an additional rule that each player only get to touch the ball once (like in many clips in this video)
