@crowpalainc835 Conquest is cool, but my squad usually only has 3 people. It was also faster-paced and I didn't feel like I got locked into some games that I was getting clapped. In joust, you take your ass-beating and the game ends lol

This is literally the first iteration of a playable build that's available to anybody outside of the Dev circle. The last thing the devs are prioritizing is whether the map looks good or every single character model looks perfect with lumen. The entire purpose of this playtest is to find bugs and CORE gameplay functionality fixes. Only AFTER the basic foundation of gameplay is fully built and actually complete, will they start prioritizing all of the art and environment details. 99% of all images in this alpha are Placeholder..

@@ImmortalMarshmallow yea but the lumen and graphics are effecting the gameplay though running speeds etc, if you think it's going to look differnt when finished I think you're in for a shock. The level of detail added to the characters now is peak performance of the art design team, they aren't going to change the models they have already added much surely, I mean what can they do about cartoon looking character's running around in real light. It's effecting the performance and it looks awful just use traditional lighting why does it need to be dynamic it's not like they are going for realism if they are then they are miles off.

@Rick-sanches1 the game is not optimized at all. As I've already stated, it's the very first iteration of a playable foundation. The last thing they care about at the moment is if people think the lighting bounces off the models correctly. They just want the game to WORK first and foremost. And yes, you can guarantee they are going to he changing models and/or artstyles drastically as they are building the entire game again from the ground up. Just look at Smite 1 alpha compared to Season 2 or 3. Besides, in my eyes, I think the game looks gorgeous the way it is in the Alpha. I don't think the models look that cartoony at all anymore, and most of them still work well with the new lighting, mixed with all the new VFX and vibrancy. It still looks like smite to me, only it's cranked up to the max and looks like a game made in 2024-2025, rather than a game made in 2012. This whole topic is very suggestive to begin with.

The smite 1 closed beta had the exact same scenario. Buying the God pack guaranteed access to the beta. It’s how I got in back at fenrir release

@@forever0forever nah I was able to get a code from hi-rez for smite 1. Didnt have to purchase anything. Smite 2 didnt give out any codes for the first week. You had to purchase or work there to get access.
