i totaly agree with you and was doing excacly same socket as temp even 12 year ago when evryone socket attack like mad man. formula changed in 6.0 when they made phy att work like m.boost.
The thing with defensive manastones is that it has to be full set to benefit from it , except for HP ofc so i still belive atk stones is worth it after 2000 acc 500 crit
I have to ask another question: You mentioned the baseline 58% damage reduction that players have in PvP in Aion. This is very interesting! I wonder: Do you know how the PvP Defence from PvP gear interacts with this? I think the 30e set gives a total of 14.4% PvP damage reduction. Does this build ontop of the existing 58% damage reduction? If so, it would mean that the effective damage damage reduction would be way higher than only 14.4%. If not, then it would be quite literally exactly 14.4% less damage that you take. If that is the case, it would then seem a little underwhelming almost - an Anuhart set could almost compete in effective HP due to more max HP, so would perform almost the same when trying to survive for example a ranger burst.
@@Easyldur_ Okay, I see - thanks for the answer! So x% PvP Def is exactly x% less damage taken, not more, not less. Theoretically, against a burst, 5% PvP Def would be somewhat equal to having 5% more Max HP. Of course, with the HP you can sustain worse as you have to heal more HP.
Question about weapon fusion: Is the 10% of attack avg. from 2nd weapon additive (increases/goes towards "Green Attack"/bonus attack) or multiplicative (increases base attack)?
is it possible to conclude that the gladiator should not sharpen the attack + 5, but it makes sense to take crit and hp, if we consider only pvp? thanks for your reply.
That's really up to how you play and if you're solo or not. I'd say glad is the class with the least counters and SM is the class that should always win a 1v1. Sin in wild pvp will always win too because he can chose his fights.
Somewhere in the Aion discord I read the claim that Power Shards are also effectively equivalent to added base damage, aka supposedly their added damage is also boosted by skill effects, such as bestial fury. Can you confirm or deny this? The claim is that they do not show up in the character sheet, but when tested, behave like additional base weapon attack.
@@Easyldur_ I see, thanks for your answer! It should be possible to test this, correct? If they merely act as bonus damage, then they would not be affected by damage buffs from skills, such as Bestial Fury, correct? So the way to test this would be to compare damage with and without damage buff - if they are not affected, the added damage shouldn't scale (apart from maybe through crit multiplier, much like attack mana stones). Sadly I personally play a Cleric, so don't think I even have any way of testing this as I don't have a damage buff, but I can ask some other people to try it out.
@@Easyldur_ Forgot to say: From what I understand, this might be exclusive to Templars Break Power skill. Already read multiple times that it's damage scaling is really weird / special, so maybe it was that skill specifically that scales with Power Shards as base.
@@hanspeter4248 best way to test is : run DPS meter, do 100 attacks without buff without shard, then 100 attacks with buff without shards, then 100 attacks with buff with shards and then 100 attacks without buff with power shards. Remove crit because it makes calculation harder and compare. if shards add the same dmg with and without buffs, then they don't count in the base attack
not all wielders can stick and burst too so u'll be able to kit as a ranger as always am a glass cannon ofc :p i know that we can't survive always and even a stupid mob can enter the scenario and slow me ( help my enemy ) lol
The attack one is really insteresting, that means that socketing attack on some classes is not that usefull as being thought. and much better to go for crit cap. and some unique situations some attack.
