At least that’s how you’re “supposed” to feel because film buffs are on Scorsese’s nuts. I had to stop halfway, and didn’t care enough to come back the following night. The general vibe I got was, they should have left this one alone, or made it years ago. I may give it another shot.

I watched or read an interview where he explains ge doesn't believe on "director's cuts" as to him once a movie finishes post production and is released to theaters, that's the movie that it will always be. He also mentioned something about it being kind of petty for a director to ask for a director's cut DVD/Blue Ray when they didn't care enough to ask that from the start. And frankly, I think Scorsese is one of the few directors who always makes the movie his own, not caring about numbers and big box offices, just an artistic vision true to himself.

That’s why all the best director nominees were men, and that’s why a bunch of great female-centered films were generally snubbed, like the farewell and hustlers, portrait of a lady on fire, and why of the 9 best picture nominees, 5 were exclusively about men (Ford v Ferrari, the irishman, once upon a time in Hollywood, joker, 1917) and only one was about women (little women). Gee you’re right. So much antagonism towards male centric stories. Political correctness gone mad. I mean, that’s the only reason they gave parasite best picture along with EVERYTHING ELSE (and by that I mean, best director, screenplay, and foreign language film, because it’s totally abnormal for the best picture winner to win 3 or 4 other awards, literally NEVER happens). I mean, the first time in 92 years that this has happened, it’s madness! Also, I really appreciate someone bringing up the fact that Netflix is outside the studio system, a company that is worth 10 billion dollars (almost twice as much as Warner brothers studios, one of the largest movie studios in history).
