This proper made me laugh in places: I'm sure that you are better than subjecting yourself to this, haha!! I humbly suggest reviewing Where Evil Lurks! 🤕😁
I see your point, but I enjoyed the movie for what it was. I liked the killer Johnny. Following him through the woods, I felt relaxed. The kills are awesome, even the simple ones. The no score in the movie never bothered me one bit. I didn't like the other characters because their acting was horrible and bad dialogue. The ending was blah. I don't know why the director went that way.
I never felt like we got to know johnny in the slightest. I think a flashback rather than a camp story might have helped with that, you aren't wrong about that acting though!
Honestly it was pretty interesting all things considered. It is boring to be honest like watching from killer perspective is unique take on slasher formula but aside from that it just feels like they could just made a nature doc of the area instead. Hell half the time i was not aware any of the characters died till they do because of the sound dept went with realistic sounds opose to usual thing we are used to. Heck i missed out on semi final kill with the ranger because i was zone out. Not out of boredom but because of the background noises. They were oddly relaxing till i saw ranger getting sliced up which snap me back into reality. Overall it's a interesting film that isn't terrible as you think it is but it is genuinely boring and good reason why we don't watch the killer's perspective and feels like a Friday the 13th film but without the licensing rights to make one. Heck the director even made mention if you dislike the film watch jason movies instead. Which is good advice if this isn't to your taste. Although gore effects and kills were very good. My favorite has to be chain hook kill. I kept flinching and squirming through my seat seeing it played out and sound and blood oh god it helps make me unsettled
I think a score might have helped things, also maybe SEEING what happened to Johnny rather than that most cliched of campfire stories. There's just so little to grab onto in this movie. Canada looks bloody nice though!
@@CriticALReviews595 yea bit of music would help at least keep my attention and more sounds to alert those like myself that someone going to die would help out. Overall. I do like it but i also understand and agree it is a boring film that doesn't do much other then the kills being great
