@@mechathunandthecultofdeath4958 I think the community should be proud of the success of critical role and the overall growth of the dnd community, as cr had a big part in that imo. I am curious why you think they sold out and would love to hear your side
@@almarpalllarusson6685 For exactly this reason. I feel they have prioritized financial and commercial success over keeping the community tight knit and passionate. They have opened up the door for Amazon to puppet them, and tons of community driven media has been gutted for campaign 3 onward. Brian and talks got cut, the art contests got cut -- they're smoothing everything out for the shareholders and it sickens me that they took this route over being really something shared and built with the critters.
@@mechathunandthecultofdeath4958 i think it would be impossible to keep the community as tight knit as it was in the early days as cr is so popular now. I agree with you about brian, wish he was still with us an it was sad to see him go. There is the art gallery on their website which i think is dedicated to fanart. I think it is not in the live shows for potential copyright/spoiler problems so in my mind it is understandable. I think they are making changes for amazon but in exchange we get 3 SEASONS OF LEGENDS OF VOX MACHINA and potential for even more cool stuff.
I never noticed before, but after the chaos and laughter of Chutney stabbing Santa, Taliesin at one point says "What is happening?" and Matt replies with "A Christmas miracle!". Absolutely killed me with laughter.
I'm obsessed with Matts character and now I want another critmas special where they just play as naughty kids running away from the "naughty list" elf assassins
When he was saying about how many people he’s killed, I’m imagining some poor bastards in winter gear trying to study things and just a jingly Rambo style elf emerging from the snow with sharpened sugar cane behind them with malicious intent. XD
Reindeer are one of, if not the only, species that both male and female grow antlers. However, the males loose their antlers in winter, so during winter months any reindeer you see with antlers would be female. Meaning all of Santa's reindeer would be female if they follow normal biology
It follows the mating cycle as male's antlers growth and shedding is controlled by the hormones. If you put them in the environment of the eternal winter it would probably change.
@@Noah_Morrieh Nope that is Chetney, he is seeking revenge on his previous employer that took advantage of his skills, like wood carving, and forced him to do tasks that he did not know how to do. Like circuits for example. Totally different stories, with little over lap. I hope this clears up your confusion
Travis Willingham's genius has been underappreciated far too long. It's just not fair when someone gets to be gorgeous and brilliant. But then, so's his wife, so there's that. So much talent in tis group of players, I'm grateful they take time to share it all with us.
taliesin’s penchant for one-liners is honestly such a talent, percy’s were epic and witty, molly’s were heart-wrenching, caduceus’s were wise, and owlbear and arthur’s were perfectly cheesy
oh my god, the recognize the alpha moment at 2:53, i didnt realize that he took that line from Chutney, i thought he made that up later for chetney because hes a wolf guy
I still love that Sam generally plays the reckless characters, but in this he’s one of, if not THE most grounded, focused, “sane” character of the group.
Travis playing the longest of games. Chetney/Chutney has quickly jumped into my top 5 CR characters (especially with what hes been doing as Chet). And steady climbing
These one shots are always a treat. It's so nice to see Matt as a player in someone else's campaign but Travis absolutely stole the show with Chetney, so glad he brought the character concept into campaign 3
Yeah, this one shot is a favorite for a number of reasons, a fun concept, a spoof of one of my favorite movies, one of the rare times we get Matt as a player, Travis' greatest moment ever, etc.
Written immediately at the end of the live viewing. Spoilers ahead!! To the tune of Frosty the Snowman Chutney Choco-cane Was an ornery ol'e elf With a hentai whip and a chisel pick And his heart left on a shelf Chutney Choco-cane Made his toys of wood and clay But was he surprised when Before his eyes Circuitry had claimed the day There must have been some poison In that cocoa cup he'd foun' For after he'd had his first sip He began to plot at dawn Chutney Choco-cane Was as sure as he could be With his chisel pike And a hammer strike He could kill the Claus, Sandy Down from the North Pole With his Chisel in his hand Hiding here or there or among stuffed bears Saying, "Time to be a man" He led them up, to bug filled butt To pass the cube he hopped And he only paused a moment when He'd heard the bleeding'd stopped Chutney Choco-cane Had to hurry on his way He'd failed his try To kill that fat guy And for now, his crime he'll pay Stabbity, Stab, Stab Stabbity, Stab, Stab Look how Chutney dies Stabbity, Stab, Stab Stabbity, Stab, Stab What is that that rise? @@teenybopper2352 nope, paladin doesn't get cantrips and blessed fighter wasn't a thing then. marisha used divine strike for her weapon attacks, not smite.
Okay, so Chutney and Chetney are not the same Character? Different backstories? I've been trying to sort that out cause I was really hoping for a return to the North Pole.
