I wish you were my teacher at school! I felt like I knew nothing before watching your videos but now I'm realizing I know way more than I thought I did. It's all about how someone teaches and you're a great teacher. I love that you explain each and every option. I'm feeling more confident toward my next test because of you. Thank you!!!
Same. I have sat through hourssss of lecture and felt I could never hold on to the information. She has put these lessons into a perspective that is interesting and understandable ...AMAZING !
Nursing students who have Prof. D as their faculty/instructor are the most lucky students. My intructors are too nice and I don't like it. They're always apologizing to the students even when its the student's mistake or error. So I come here often to listen to your rant, lol it makes me pay attention to detail! Afterall, I was in the military, so I like this kind of teaching, I wish you were my instructor.
First time is a yeee! From Haiti to America I’m now officially an LPN. I did it professor D. I passed my NCLEX-PN. Thank you so much for your passion for teaching. Keep up the great work! Jehovah God almighty is with us all who are tying our bed to keep on practicing what is right! Be blessed and be well! I’m going to keep on watching #learning from you all the way up to RN BSN if we have more time in this crazy world. May God and his son Jesus be our intermediate source of comfort. Thanks again a lot!
I am heading into an ADN program next semester. Even after so many years in healthcare. These questions are assisting me to prepare! Thank you so much for your teaching! 🎉
Hi, I am just going to get straight to the point. I LOVE LOVE and LOVED this video. I have a nursing exam this Friday on critical thinking and the nursing process. We definitely need more professors like you because of the following reasons: 1, why am I on RU-vid to get help when I have 2 professors at my institution? Because they're not much of a help, and I am blessed to have come across a RU-vidr like you. 2nd reason is your explanations, reasonings, and most importantly providing feedback on why other answers would be wrong and differentiating that from what is the priority for a patient has helped me so much to not only get the correct answers but to gain knowledge in background pieces of information. OVERALL, This video has helped me so much because I love practice Q&A and I cannot emphasize that enough! Thank you thank you and thank you SO MUCH for being here because it is helping thousands of others like me in nursing school to understand the nursing process better while applying critical thinking. I hope more people come across your videos because I am confident they will come out stronger with knowledge after watching the videos.
Jesus! I don’t know how I got to this page!! I am 36 years old and I am going to Nursing school! I have been Praying. Asking God and doing my part! Lord Jesus! I know this Channel will help me along the way!
Let me tell you something.. You are a BLESSING TO ME!! THANKS YOU.. I'm understanding everything single questions.. Just started nursing school Jan 13.. 2021 and feeling completely lost..
You are such an amazing professor. They way my instructors explain these are not even close to how you do it. They just assume we know everything already and literally only read off slides. I'm really struggling with nursing school right now, and your videos are so helpful. Thank you!!
After using uworld twice and failing, I never knew I could ever pass the nclex but today I am very happy. I just passed my Nclex on my third attempt with a great help from Dr Luther
I hear your voice when I take my tests now! I LOVE your emphasis on certain teaching. It keeps my attention and stays in my brain! Everything is so monotone so its refreshing to have that emphasis and clarity!
I can really see she wants to help other young nurses in passing the NCLEX. She gives really good tips that can be applied to similar questions and knowing the key words to look for.
I apreciate you. I am a VN/PN instructor. Nurse for 20 yrs primarily in outpatient clinical management, and psych. Getting back into foundations, and core curriculum has been a great curriculum for me. It's been 4 months, and at times i feel like an imposter. There's so much to re-ignite in my brain. It's there, but takes a bit to find it. Your videos help to refresh me. I am not a book learner, verbal explanations work better for me. You are a great help! Thank you
Thank you so much...I just started school this semester and I don't know why nursing process questions get me so bad. I SEVERELY overthink them and I always think it's a trick question or something and I get some really stupid questions wrong. It's pretty crazy that you laying it out so simple in the first few questions actually clicked with me! For example one question on our exam asked what step the nurse skipped when she administered a BP med without checking with the CNAs to find out their blood pressure was first...and I picked implementation because she was giving a med and so I roped them together and of course I was wrong. I only realized how dumb that was after the answer came up lol. But I really feel like I got it now, so again, thank you so much for laying it out simple and straight❤️
Professor D you are such a great teacher! You simplifying things so that it can be easier to understand and learn. I agree with everyone who say that nursing schools need more professors like you. Plus I love how passionate you are, and your charisma is something that many instructors lack. Keep up the exceptional work my dear!
@@NexusNursing of course! I feel more confident now more than ever by just watching two of your many videos. Your enthusiasm and charisma is contagious lol. And not many professors can transmit that to their students ☺️
You are AMAZING. Thank you for breaking things down like you do. My one weakness going into Level Two is critical thinking. So grateful to have found you!
Excellent video!!! I really appreciate how the nursing process was broken down in order for nursing student to better understand the nursing process. The video helps to highlight what exactly to look for when answering specific nursing questions.
Your explanations/rationales made a lot of sense. I find test taking confusing sometimes because of how the questions are asked. When you break the information down, I feel more confident in my understanding. Highly appreciate your work
After using uworld twice and failing, I never knew I could ever pass the nclex but today I am very happy. I just passed my Nclex on my third attempt with a great help from Dr Luther
Professor D is passionate about nursing and it shows during her video. I liked the questions she asked because they really made you think and it helped me with critical thinking
Wow!! Thank you for this! I just found you and I’m so glad I did. I’m about to go into my second semester of nursing school and this is what I need. You’re voice will be in my head! I love it! ♥️
I wish you were our professor. We are the first students of the new nursing program and we are learning Nothing in NSG-100. Our professor doesn’t explain anything to us at all. It’s a self taught program and the whole class is struggling horribly. There has been so many of us ready to give up because it’s unorganized and overwhelming. You are great!
I found your channel by mistake and I'm glad I did...you are a great teacher and how you explain helps the nursing student to remember and grasp the material I think I saved all your videos...trying to complete my Nursing program May 2022 and do the NCLEX this year as well✊🏾✊🏾
This is the second video I’ve watched and both have helped me so much. One interesting fact that I have noted is that every time you read out the questions and answers you take a small moment to dBrief on the subject and what the question is asking for. This really helps me grasp the question I’ll be better and give me a clear picture on the answer.
I really love these videos. I am not in nursing school yet but, I want to say thank you Professor for helping me to understand how to critically think about the questions that will be given to me in the nursing program. When in doubt I will always look for your videos to guide me through the nursing program. You are by far one of the best professors I have encountered. Again, thank you for sharing these very informative videos.
Congratulations for an excellent presentation! This is indeed very helpful as I teach Logic and Critical Thinking to Nursing students. If I may, I would like to express my thoughts on the question found on 11:24, "...students to describe a critical thinker." My line is philosophy and when we say "critical thinkers" it is synonymous to analytic/scientific thinkers. I would answer #3 in that question because critical thinkers in philosophy are inline with scientific thinking. The answer that you chose, #2, sounds more like a CREATIVE thinker. A scientific thinker will also find the problem but sticks to the empirical-mathematical data while #2 thinker will also rely on a certain intuition and maybe abduction. #4 choice is interesting also makes it implies that there is more than one system in the medical field (which I agree). Anyway, I am just giving you my HUMBLE opinion.
New subbie ❤️. I love how you explain why the correct answer is actually correct. If definitely helps with transitioning our minds to think like nurses
