You also have to develop a habit of reading, reading and making notes! You definitely have to read a wide range of articles to be able to write, so I suggest that in your initial skimming, you start to group authors into their line of argument.

It is essentially a debate, think of it as your secondary school debate, for or against. Then you add your own thoughts backed up with evidence. There you have a critical, analytical and evaluated essay!

Thank you, I had 78% for my assignment following this method just because I was a bit lazy and tired after 5000 words but it helped a lot. I was in panic when I saw 5000 words given but with this method it helped me to fill it up instead of being just descriptive

Some of ur contents Massaged the urge to study here in the UK, I touched down here and almost done with my program still following every of ur content and it has been one of the best decisions I have made in a while. If you studied in Nigeria you really can’t write critically and that’s not to undermine our educational system, it just me stating a fact.After I wrote my first assessment, in my head, it was a master piece, I got the result and I was left with my mouth wide open in total confusion. I honestly didn’t understand some of the notes the lecturer dropped. Infact I had to book a session with him cos I was ready to “fight” lol apparently my essays were only descriptive, he said he dozed off a bit just reading my essay as it was more or less like story telling. Lol, I can laugh about it now, but it is definitely a learning curve. Thanks Chidera.
