The star for Minnesota's logo isn't just used for the eye of the bear, but it's supposed to represent the north star of Minnesota.

The Blue Jackets logo has the Ohio flag. Columbus is in Ohio.

The Wild logo was intentionally designed to look more vague - bear/cougar/bobcat = something wild. The eye is a salute to the state's nickname, The North Star State, and also a nice nod to the previous NHL team. I think it's one of the best logos in sports, in part because it does not have letters, a stick, or a puck.

the Minnesota "wild" logo is Minnesota wildlife/wilderness like the trees, bear, sun, north star, and river is all a part of "wild" life I think it is a very creative logo

The wild logo description: the logo is a bears head, the star probably represents the North Star because the old Minnesota team was the north stars. The sun makes up the bear's ear, the river makes up its mouth and is probably there to show how fishing is big, and pine trees cover Minnesota and most likely represent how natural the state is.

The star in the Wild logo pays homage to the North Stars. Also you forgot the biggest symbolism in the Penguins logo, the triangle. It represents the point where the 3 rivers intersect.

the wings on the blues' logo aren't wings, they're the tails on notes. a note with that many tails is fast as hell, so its probably meaning to say the team is fast

winnipeg jets logo is an homage to the royal canadian air force logo (rcaf has an airbase in wpg) and the point on the middle is a compass needle pointing north for true north sports , the owners of the jets ( also why jets fans scream "true north" during the national athem).

The Wild logo is actually quite clever, in my opinion. The star at the top is an homage to the former team in Minnesota, the North Stars. And I interpret the river flowing out as the Mississippi, which has its origin in Minnesota (and it's flowing in the right direction if you interpret the star as the *north star,* with the river flowing south). And, as you mentioned, there's the overall shape which is reminiscent of the Predators logo, but inverted right-to-left. I personally see a wolverine, but that's just me. Who knows what animal it really is meant to be? All in all, what other kind of logo could represent a concept as nebulous as "Wild". I think the graphic designer in charge of this one did a pretty decent job.
