Wow, you should bottle some of that stamina. I have no idea how you keep afloat in a CRNA DNP program, work in the ICU PRN, help run a CrossFit gym, go to CrossFit gym, flip houses, foster injured rescue dogs, film, edit, and post a weekly vlog. I'm happy if I stay afloat in school and maybe throw some food in my dogs bowl daily.

I'm addicted to your videos! Amazing how busy you are; yet stay true to your priorities. I can only imagine how stressful CRNA school alone is let alone all the other things you are involved in. I’ve only watched 2 videos and I am amazed at how driven you are. I appreciate the encouragement to get stuff done. I am a psychiatric nurse. I always say I’d rather dodge a chair than decipher ABGs 😂
I’ve been binge watching all of your videos and you truly inspire me so much. I’m 20 and I have a 7 month old son and I recently decided I want to go back to school for nursing and hopefully become a CRNA eventually. I’m amazed on your time management, you always have so much going on and you manage it with ease. I aspire to be like that.

Neuro stepdown is tough! I have floated to it before and it's hard work. I'm sure you will do great in the ICU because you're used to a heavy patient load. Glad to hear you are liking the videos, that means a lot to me!

I'm really impressed that you manage a few side hustles plus work occasionally while maintaining a 4.0 in school. I have my first interview for a program sometime in November. I'm also married and wonder if you'd be interested in doing a video about planning time with your spouse in the midst of everything else. I'm sure it helps that you guys have two business ventures together. Also, do you prioritize time with your classmates also? Do you do any group study or school-related extracurriculars (student organizations, volunteering opportunities, etc.)?
I would love to do a video like that! Thanks for the suggestion. The business helps because we work together a lot. I am with my classmates a lot between class and clinical so we don't hang out too much outside of school. Usually we all get together at the end of every semester for a celebratory lunch/dinner or something fun! I rarely group study because I learn best on my own. I loose focus in groups, but a lot of people I know group study and they love it. I think it depends on your learning style. I volunteer but not with the school. I volunteer at the local animal shelter and foster special needs dogs for them. I don't volunteer with people (yet) but plan to go on my first medical mission hopefully soon!!
Rhianna Ferial thanks for the reply! I worry about moving away from everything and everyone we know (for my husband’s sake), but he’s excited about it, so that helps me feel more at ease. Your videos are also very reassuring because it seems like you make a lot of time for each other!

I like to create Q & A. Every bit of info I find I try to see every way I could question the info. I also search for questions when I lack creativity and then fiddle with the wording. This way I better grasp the material.

You are a trooper! I'm amazed at how much energy you have and I must say I'm quite envious. I'm in nursing school now and was just wondering what you do to destress...I know you're extremely busy and have a lot on your plate... Do you find meditation, watching a netflix show, or some other thing to that effect is keeping you level headed? Everybody is different and likes different things, but what is your mentality and mindset like when you do other things so you can take your mind off of school and the stresses that come with it? I understand that school can be stressful, but it seems like when I go on break or finish a big test I can't seem to destress my mind and feels like it keeps going like the energizer bunny...let me know your thoughts if you get the chance. Hi! I do a few things but the main thing that helps is exercise. I workout 3-5 days a week depending on my schedule. I also try to meditate every morning and night for 2-5 mins. Any longer doesn't feel doable to me and there are benefits even with that short amount of time. I do get stressed but staying organized and ahead helps me deal with it. Good luck in school!

Rhianna Ferial it’s so green there. I’m in Arizona. Only 2 CRNA schools here and both are in the desert. Haha. But that’s awesome you’re able to go per diem. A ton of people keep telling me it’s impossible and I keep thinking per diem is feasible; just super reassuring it’s doable.
@@thesportspsych I love Arizona!! That's one of the places I want to work when I graduate. Almost everybody will make it sound impossible but as long as you manage your time well and don't procrastinate you can do it! I doubted that I could even do it at first because everybody acted like I was crazy for trying 😂. Now I'm almost halfway done and I will be working in the ICU up until I graduate!
Rhianna Ferial definitely a great market out here! I’m just worried about my GPA being a deterring factor. Ugh. I’ve had to work all through nursing school and it’s cost me my GPA. Not sure how CRNA programs are when it comes to that
I would meet with the programs you are interested in, explain your situation and see what they recommend. They usually advise you take some extra sciences and get As to show that you can handle the work. I was in a similar situation.
I didn't get a new camera, I've been practicing filming and editing. Just trying to have fun with it! I think there are PF Changs all over 🤔...maybe lol

Hey!! I’m an aspiring CRNA. I unfortunately live in a town where I’d have to commute to school and I don’t think I’m in a position where I can move. Anyways, I live about 45 mins (on a good day) away from the schools campus and I live within an hr from all the clinical sites. Do you think this is doable or would you recommend moving closer?
Personally I would rather love closer for convenience. I live less than 10 mins from school and my clinical sites. That being said it all depends on what is important to you! I have several classmates who commute 1+ hours everyday because they couldn't relocate. They use their drive as study time and listen to lectures, etc.
It depends on you and what part of the program you're in. My studying varies depending on if we have exams that week. I'd say I average 10 hours a week but more during exams 🤓
