I’ve forgotten if you guys have shown us Plitvice. I worked at a place where we sold wall sized pictures one of which was Plitvice. It is a really rare kind of place. The stone it creates is coveted by alpine gardeners like myself. As a matter of fact I went to CR to visit the astounding alpine gardens there. A trip of a lifetime.

I fell in love with that small prehistoric city. Definitely ancient places are my thing. That pizza looks delicious but I choose the chocolate icecream. There are so many beautiful places in Croatia. If you haven't visited Rovinj on the Istrian Peninsula, not far from Rijeka, put it on your list of places to visit. Nice video guys.

Guys, I’m so glad you are able to show parts of Croatia on some of your trips. I forgot to mention that I have Croatian and Serbian ancestry on my Mother’s side. Great grandma came to the US from Croatia and great grandfather came to the US from Serbia. With those 2 peoples being mortal enemies it’s amazing how they got married. It could have been the union to end the feud, but it wasn’t 😅. Thanks for the video ❤❤

Great video as always, The Vojak peak is the highest peak of mountain Učka and yup Peter was right, the word vojak means soldier, but mostly used by older people or in certain areas, vojaci is plural, the word wich is more in use is vojnik- vojnici or soldat - soldati in north parts of croatia. The name probably got during ww1, coz the tower was built in 1911 and had vital role during ww1, coz from that spot you can se kvarner, dalmatia and istria and inside the tower was soldier, today is like a souvenir place when you enter it, thaz why probably the modern military radar is put also, near that radar are communication towers. The city of Rijeka have very rich and long history. The word rijeka means river, in italian it was called Fiumene, in latin tarsatica ( the near village is called Terssato), later it was called Vitopolis and Flumen, wich is the spource of second historical name San Vito al Fiume. In hungarian it was Szentvit and in german it was called San Veit am Flaum, but everyone called it Pflaum. All ancient and modern names for rijeka means river, coz of the river flowing thru city separating it on 2 sides, futher in history it was border between 2 states. Also Rijeka have the bigest sea port in croatia and it is a place where torpedo was invented and in 19 century it had the bigest oil rafinery in europe. in 1908 it was the first place in whole world where iodine was used for surgery preparations for instruments and for wound desinfection. it is a city wich have such rich history , where people are very liberal and tolerant and anyone can just fit in.. You should check the aquarium while you were there, not sure does it still works.. gosh i hope i will watch all of your videos for a weekend.. i feel like i missed a lot lol.,...
