I think we all had a good old chuckle when the Italians scored with the last kick of the match to send the Croats packing. Modric's grumpy face holding the Man of the Match trophy is also hilarious.
I just checked the standings and apparently not only do they need Slovenia to fail but if the Czechs either lose by a single goal to Turkey or draw/win Croatia would still go home Yeah it's over
@@toro2812 It's incredibly unlikely that Southgate will bother scoring goals considering he has already secured his placement into the next phase. Despite that, it would be pretty embarrassing for any team with 2 points to go through. Like, you haven't even managed to win 1 game and you go through? I would just concede at that point because they are not winning anything in the knockout phase anyway. Croatia is pretty much done and they have no one but themselves to blame for it.
In theory you are right. But Slovenia would have to concede at least 3-4 goals and neither Czech Rep. nor Georgia should win. No way all that's gonna happen, especially not with Southgate ball.

@@SoWhat-ky1xhI personally wanted or would Rather Croatia won no one in England wants Italy to win or progress Mark has some Italian roots that's partly why he seemed happy Italy snatched the victory but overall your find many English fans thought Croatia should have won and deserved to beat Italy sadly it wasn't to be.
Italy should thank that ref. he was clearly helping Italy. if somebody didnt see that, then thats on you. so many yellow cards for Croatian players. 8 minutes at the end? what a joke. one of rare situations where VAR actually helped a team. no way that ref would give the penalty to Croatia. no way.
