I used the 4.5mm hook and it came out HUGE :') . I recommend for those who want to make it for a newborn to use a smaller size hook. But it still an amazing pattern ❤❤
loved making this romper , i have 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild coming this year, wish i had this when we had the others as we have 32 in total and will carry on make these when needed thank you so much.
I made this in a light blue with little airplane shaped buttons for my new nephew that’s due soon and it turned out so cute! I’m a beginner so it wasn’t perfect but this was an easy pattern to follow and had a great tutorial! Thank you so much! My brother and sister-in-law thought it was adorable!
OMG, how I love this romper❤ I’m on the second leg and will be finishing the top portion. It turned out so beautifully so far! Thank you so much for the detail and step by step ever so slowly for such an adorable piece❤ I sure will be making it in different age groups for gifts❤ Thanks again!!!!
Thank you for being so thorough and patient with our not so experienced crocheters.l will most definitely try my hand at this beautiful romper for my newest grand daughter
Ty so much. I just went and paid for pattern (I'm learning how important this is to do). I'm going to follow you on insta and give you credit as well. I've already sold 2 of these. Ty 😭🙌
I made your dress yesterday while I'm isolating, I'm going to make this today for my granddaughter who is due in november. Ty si much for making your tutorials so easy to follow 🥰🥰
I love this, thank you, I have a question. On the increase rows, I’m confused where to put the stitch markers. Sometimes they appear to go in the 1st chain space and sometimes the 2 chain space. Please could you explain. Thank you. Is it made clearer in the written pattern?
I made this in a similar wool as one of my 'learning to crochet' projects and it turned out fabulous! Your video was really easy to follow and I enjoyed making it.
This is so beautiful. Is there a written pattern. I'm having a hard time understanding when to increase and when not to increase. I'm getting a little confused once you crochet off camera.
Love this pattern❤ I would like to make it for a six month old baby for the Summer. Can you pls suggest a needle size and thread I can use. Would there be any changes to the pattern? Tk u so much. U do beautiful work..😊
Thanks for your video. I have bought your chart too But i dơn't know why, when i am finished 1st round it have 3 stiches left not 2, i am work again many time. It the same, 3 left :(
Iv just finished my romper and it turned out so cute thank you for your excellent tutorial so well explained and easy to follow , iv subscribed and am looking forward to making more of your beautiful baby garments 😊Amanda xx💕
Really enjoying this pattern but having trouble at the legs. There are an odd number of V stitches at Row 25, so when I do row 26, there is an odd number and I can't do V, DC, V, DC all the way around. Please help!
Does your join line down the front drift a bit? Mine does and it makes the vertical lines diagonal (very slightly). I can't figure out how I've gone wrong.
Mine goes diagonal too! I thought it was just me and because it’s the first thing I ever made I didn’t worry about it as the shape still comes out fine - let me know if you find out why it’s happened as i have no idea :
My aunt is a bit of a pro so I'll ask her to take a look and advise. Will let you know :) I'm so frustrated because I love this design and want to understand why it's gone a bit wonky!
Is this tutorial for new born or 2-4 months ? I noticed that you have another video on this romper too. Please help I want to make one for new born gift.
So I'm having issues with the buttons. is it best to sew them into the bib and hook them through the strap? or visa versa? also, im assuming we use the holes naturally made by the V-stiches as button holes ...unfortunately mine are too small for the buttons id like to use and the buttons that fit are small and don't look proportionate
Is it possible to make this in different sizes? I'm 3 months pregnant and would love to make a collection of these in different sizes. Both smaller and bigger up to 2 years if possible??? I love this pattern so much and the instructions are so clear.
If you sub out the Aran weight yarn with a DK and use a 3.75 or 3.25 mm hook, you can probably make it a newborn size. Alternatively, going up to a worsted, with a 5mm will make it slightly larger, or a bulky 5 yarn with a 5.5 mm hook. For a 2 year old, you can simply take measurements to figure out the initial width of the chest and doing more uniform rows in between each increase for the length. Hope this helps!
I am making it with a cotton yarn and using a 2 mm hook. I think it'll turn out to be really small. What should I do, I need to increase the rows or the band?? Please help?
If you could edit this video and have on screen the row you are working on also how many V’s are on the row would help us, beginners, to get what you are trying to explain. I lost it right after row 8-11. Mine seems it’s increasing 😩
The first step is 29 needles, and I can't reach 6 sets of long needles. Who can save me? I repeated it many times. I don't know English, so I used a translation software.
I love this design, but I'm struggling a bit. My romper seems to be going a bit diagonal at the point I join. Any advice from anyone would be appreciated as I'm not ready to give up!
Mine has been staying pretty consistent, maybe you’re making the slip stitch on the wrong one? I make it on the 3rd one, I count as well. And I make it with one of the loops, not both.
U say u chained 29, but it doesnt work for me with 29. I have one loop too much and i do exactly what u said. I guess it must be a mistake and i only need 28
Merci beaucoup pour vos tutos, c'est dommage qu il n'y ai pas de soutitres en français , c'est pas évident en anglais . En tout cas vous faites de jolis chose cela me donne beaucoup d'envies. 👍
I had the exact same problem!! Did you continue it?? I’m thinking maybe just do 28 foundation chains and see how it works out. I recounted so many times 🙄
I had the extra stitch as well. It's because she counted her slip knot as a chain. You can just add the DC to the last chain it won't make a difference
please help me, I followed all the 1st steps, but I keep only making 5 V-stiches, I don't have enough chain holes to make a 6th one? What am I doing wrong? I've tried over and over ....
I had the exact same problem. but when I did the math 29 stitches should work out to 6 V-stiches with 3 in-between and 2 left.....so finally what I decided was happening was that after putting in a V-stich to a chain it was widening it so much that the chain next to it was stressed to the point the hole was closed and no longer looked like a stich leading me to not count it as one of the 3 skipped. once I paid closer attention and made sure I counted that I got the 6 stitches in and had no further problems. I didn't have that problem with the rest so it appears it only happens when putting the V-stiches into the first chain
At about 17 minutes in she explains in row 9 & 10 to make a V stitch in the middle of each V stitch from the previous row & to shift the stitch markers up with each row. No increase in the amount of stitches
Precisely where I started having trouble following her video. Mine seems to be increasing right after she put 6 stitches (I mean the next rows). I guess Ill have to get the written pattern and start learning how to read it.
