Thank you Hearher Corinne. Hot off the press for me. I have been making the Teachers gifts. I have a 6 yr old granddaughter and she took pencil scarf right after Christmas Vacation was over. She has 2 Teachers. One school room and one after school program I have not crocheted any paper cozies yet but I have crocheted countless pencil and Apple cozies. I wish my hands would go a little fasste. Just wanted to say thanks for your crochet tutorials and patterns. Very easy to understand.
I made this baby blanket with Bernat Baby Blanket Dappled yarn in aquamarine. Too bad the decided to discontinue this yarn. My version I decided no back loop only regular hdc and I did a border with reversible or what they call a crab stitch. Thank you for sharing .
I started this, and it's turning out great! I just started learning crochet a few days ago. I have one question: my blanket started fading out the cute bumps..? I did the same thing when I started, and it looks like there are bumps, but now it looks a little flat... Any ideas? It's still pretty! I may keep it like it, but I was wondering if you knew why?
Theoretically, you can use any yarn you'd like. The bulky weight is what makes the blanket larger however. If you're using lighter weight yarn, it will be much, much smaller so you'd probably want to increase your stitch count.
You sure can! You could do a simple single or half double crochet border and just put [single crochet, chain 2, single crochet] or half double on each corner stitch.
