I did my hat using Caron Cotton cake yarn. Because I tend to crochet tight, I had to add a few of the stitch combination rows to make it a little longer to fit. Thank you for the tutorial. If it wasn't for me watching and trying out some of your beginner beanie patterns, I would not have wanted to learn how to make them, I was having problems at first. Thank you for your motivation and encouragement that you give when you do your tutorials.
I really like this hat. It's amazing how just putting a brim on this great, popular hat just makes it look so soft & summery. Thank you for modifying this for us. Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend.

I love this pattern it was so fun to make and I finished it in just a few hours. I used Hobby Lobby’s I love This Cotton PRINT in Paris in June. I did 2 rounds of the brim increase and then one round of single crochet and has just enough while using the 5.00 hook. Thank you Crystal for another wonderful pattern and tutorial.

Oh wow Crystal I really love this, your chocolate bon bon beanie is my favorite hat pattern and hats is what I love making the most so this worked out perfectly because my husband was just getting on to me that I needed to where a sun hat of some kind to protect me when I'm working outside in the sun, and oh my goodness I love this . Going for a classic black licorrice bonbon bucket hat. I have some dollarstore black cotton blend I wanna try out. Started it lastnight, looked awesome then this morning starting at it you said "now you should have 36 stitches" and I count and I'm like "uhhh boss, I have 38 stitches." increased somewhere I didnt have to, I think thats what I get for starting this right before bed. Always happens!
Your chocolate bon-bon beanie was how I found your channel. It's still my favourite hat to crochet. It looks bright and summery as a bucket hat and that yarn is perfect for that hat.
