I love ALL your tutorials. I only learnt to crochet during the first lockdown through you tube but now consider myself a competent crocheter thanks to how easy you make everything. Thank you!
Robin, I recently took up crocheting again. I have never followed a pattern or watched RU-vid . You are my favorite. Thank you. You have opened up a world of creativity and joy!
I don't know how I missed this one. I LOVE Caron Big Cakes (well, ANY Caron Cakes really). This is such a cute pattern, and I have TONS of Caron Big Cakes just looking for something to do, LOL! This will be next on my "to make" list. Thank you, Robin!
Just came upon this lovely pattern. I can't wait to get big cakes yarn! I am not new to crochet, but I'm newly returning to crochet. So I've been searching for video patterns vs written only patterns. These are so much easier and more fun to watch! You are the best crochet teacher that I've found here on RU-vid. Since this one is 3 years old, I am excited to catch up on 3 years of patterns! Thank you! 😁
I started this blanket in March when the pandemic started. I am almost done! I just want to say it's an awesome pattern and your video was easy to follow! Thanks.
Love Caron big cakes yarn! Love this different kind of shell pattern and tutorial too! I am making this for my x-brother in laws new girl friend. (Lol)
I am loving this pattern OMG!!! THANK YOU!!! I just went through my stash and I have some Caron Cakes even though it's not Big Cakes I got plenty Caron Cakes!!! Yes!! You are the Awesome Sauce!!!❤❤
Nice to be able to finally connect a name to a face. Nice to meet you Robin! I love your work. Currently working on the pom pom blanket pattern you shared. Thanks for sharing!
Another fun stitch to try. When making a border, I have always had trouble deciding exactly where to put my stitches on the sides of my project, so I just pretty much guessed making sure both sides had the same number of stitches. I see now that there can be an actual pattern for the placement of these worrisome stitches. I need to check some more of your patterns to see if I can pick up any handy hints for figuring out how to go about deciding how to devise that pattern for any blanket I am working on.
Thank you for using yarn with good stitch definition and a contrasting background! Showing us slow detail on ending the rows is really helpful since that's where most of my mistakes happen 👍
Love to watch, listen to you crocheting! This Carion Big Cake is beautiful! My favorite colors. I think I will try this pattern to make a twin-sized blanket for my 11 years old granddaughter. She will love the Lacey shells, as well as the colors. Just a side note: I crocheted two dozen face mask adapters for my daughter and her nurse colleagues on the oncology unit of the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital. I’m told they loved them and I should continue!!! It was a small project, but very much appreciated.
Hello Dear, I am a Crochet - Man from Germany and found new your Channel - and I love it. Your pattern are so beautiful 😍 I do a very cute Blanket for myself , and now I must crochet 3 more for my friends .... So, I am happy for your Channel. Thank you 😊 LG Marcus
Hello I was so happy to have discovered your channel ... I have been following you for a year... recently I bought a lot of yarn when one of the stores here on Long Island closed I discovered this pattern and it's so beautiful and you're so clear about your directions thank you again keep up the good work
I made this pattern several years ago when you first posted it. And the full size throw I made turned out beautifully. And now I am using this same pattern again for a baby blanket. For me this is such a lovely and simple pattern that always turns our so nice no matter what yarn I am using. Robin thank you for sharing such wonderful patterns and instructional videos with us ❤️🧶
This is so pretty💕. It’s a detailed looking blanket but an easy to learn repeat😁. My kind of project. Thank you for the tutorial and showing how the Caron Cakes work up💗🤗!
Had a large ball off odds and ends, made into a large pocket shawl with 51 stitches and a Three row edge around the outer panel. Made fun pockets using jean pockets for Boho look, for the end project. Thank you for this easy, tutorial.
🤗 OMG!!! I just finished my swatch of this pattern and I’m in love!!! It’s perfect in every way! I’ve been trying to find a pattern for my nephew’s new baby boy. It took me 4 days but I found your pattern. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤
Love the Caron Big Cakes. They make beautiful prayer shawls. Very important to be sure you purchase the same lot numbers. I have made that mistake and the two cakes I bought were very different. But, I love the colors and the feel of this yarn. 💗
This is truly beautiful blanket. I love the stitches and design, plus the stitch definition that you got from using this yarn. Another one to put on my ‘to do’ list. Your instructions are brilliant!
Very stunning 💖 I love this pattern and all your previous ones as well . I'm confused about which pattern I'll begin to crochet . Thanks so much Robin . You're really creative 👌
Love this blanket, you have a lovely voice , explain it well and I don’t mind the cathairs lol same problems here...but just love my furry friends❤️👍🏻😀
I made this one too!! Super fast looks amazing. Made this a lapghan size for a friend who's going through chemo! It really does work up quick once you get rollin. Hung in for the border too! Thank you Robin! Sunflower squares next!
Thank you very much for the nice and easy pattern. I made mine with Caron Big Cakes - the color - Blue Hawaiian for my cousin and she loves it!! I am now making one with 3 shades of grey.
Just finished this blanket. It is super easy just keep count of your stitches. Thank you so much for these videos!!!! Your instruction is very easy to follow and learn.
I am almost done with mine. It is such a great pattern and a really lovely blanket. I find myself covering up with it and usually falling asleep... lol... it is a gift... lol... since a gift for an adult I have made it so it will cover approx.. corner to corner on a queen size bed. She does not crochet or anything but she absolutely loves yarn! 😃❤😃 Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Thank you so much, i have just finished my second blanket, it turned out really nice thanks to your video, i used the same yarn and colors, my granddaughter will love this
I made this exact blanket! Working on the border now! ☺️ I’m giving it to my brother who is going in for surgery! 😒 thank you for sharing this, I really enjoyed making it!
Thank you for a lovely pattern. I just made this for a coworkers baby. I used the same yarn and color way. I loved the pattern and the first cake of yarn was one continuous yarn while the second cake had four knots tying the yarn together. That was disappointing, however the blanket is lovely. Thank you again for a great baby blanket pattern. I will be making this again.
I was so happy to see a Hooked by Robin video in my inbox today! You (and Steve!) really cheered me up. While your cat was destroying your studio, mine was tearing about as well. Coincidentally before I looked at my email, I had just finished the main body of an afghan in Noro Royal Silk Garden, colourway 8 (no pattern, i just "wung" it lol) and was trying to figure out what to do for a border - the one you used here is perfect. Thanks Robin, you're the best!
@@HookedbyRobin I didn't know you have others beside Steve. I have 3 and that is my limit - the Turkish Angora Celestial Dawn (Celeste) rules with an iron paw and makes sure of that.
Yes I have worked with Caron big cakes. I made a cardigan for myself out of three Caron big cakes. And I love the yarn! 😍 I've also used the same stitch pattern using different yarn (fingering weight) in a shawl that I made and I love that stitch as well. Never thought to put it into a baby blanket. Thank you! 😊💕
I'm definitely converted! Initially I felt it was a bit stiff but once I got used to it, I really enjoyed the weight and almost cotton like feel to it! Have you tried washing it? Does it soften up like Red Heart does? X
Yes. I got the same feeling when I was working with it. In the beginning I thought it was kind of stiff but then I really loved it. I'm sorry, I have not washed it yet. I just finished my cardigan like 2 weeks ago so I haven't had the need to wash it. I'm thinking it will soften a bit though.
Thank you Robin , super tutorial I have just finished the blanket and now doing the edges , I am very happy with the finished look , I now have to make another …. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you your tutorials are so easy for amateurs like me to follow made this blanket in premier sweet roll almost the same as yours. Just watched the remainder of the video to start the border thank you once again 😊
Beautiful, absolutely loved watching. Glad to learn a nimeq stitch an as a beginner you taught it so I could understand. Thank you so much. Big hugsss 💜❤🧡💙🌳🐈🌻
I just finished this blanket and thanks to your easy to follow instructions, it was the first time I have completed a blanket and it came out beautiful! Already looking forward to following another one of your videos thank you 🥰
That’s beautiful! I wasn’t impressed with Caron Big Cakes the first time I used it...felt it was a bit like working with rubber bands 😆 but this blanket looks totally awesome and is a great idea to use up the cakes that I purchased ages ago ❤️
I didn't like the texture of it as first either! Once I got used to it, I was converted to the weighty stiffness of it (plus bonus of zero blocking required!)
Such an awesome pattern and tutorial! I have made 3 of these! Actually starting a 4th.... No matter which Caron big cakes i choose! And, the recipients have been thrilled! Perfect no matter the climate.
What a great find. This is only my second crochet project and I am loving the repetition and ease! I’m using a category 3 cotton yarn and I just love how this looks dainty, but not too girly! So sweet for a baby blanket. Here’s hoping I make it to the end!!! Thanks for the great video!
@@HookedbyRobin As I was watching u crochet, I thought, "This yarn looks amazing to work with." Could you tell me what the ball band says it is? Is it all cotton, cotton and Acrylic, or something completely different. Thank you.!💙💛
I made it☺😊 it turned out awesome. I did use the same yarn too. Given it to my neice for my great nephew when the time comes. Thank you for a pattern that I could follow. Thanks also for your awesome tutorial☺👍
