Thank you so much for posting this! I just picked up a crochet hook for the first time Saturday, and then Sunday I crocheted this! I am so happy with it. This pattern and the type of yarn seems to disguise all of my little hiccups on the way. I managed to somehow make it quite a bit longer than it should have been, but, it is long enough to wrap around my neck three times so it works out, haha!

How can we measure how long scarf we need and how much yarn plz repply coz im beginner thanks

MARIA STELLA _07 So since there isn't a specific pattern to this scarf, you can chain as much or as little as you want for your scarf and it won't affect your design in the end. Depending on your length, a 300 yard yarn ball should be enough to finish it but if it is longer, you may end up using 2 yarn balls :)

Screamin' Lisa I just tried it with a lighter yarn and 11 rows makes a very slim scarf - I will have to add more rows. Maybe 2-4 more

So if I had DK to do this with, what size hook would I need?

The recommended hook size for DK weight yarn is 4.5mm - 5.5mm. I would suggest using the larger of that range, but it will ultimately be your preference! Just note, in my pattern I am using a super bulky yarn so in order for your foundation chain to be as long as the one in my video/pattern you'll need to add a lot more chains to your foundation as DK weight is much finer than super bulky. It looks like you missed saying that you ch 2 the first time. That would be helpful to add a note in the video so people don’t have to backtrack when learning :/
