My friend just moved into a new apartment and I’ve been trying to figure out a proper gift. This is such an amazing idea and I hope she likes the coasters I’m making!
@@DesignsbyPhanessa thank you! I ended up not liking how they were turning out, (I’m completely new to crochet and my technique isn’t the best so it’s mo fault to you at all!) But I’ve been practicing on small projects and I’m gonna see her next month so I’ll be ready this time!
Just finished my first coaster! I had to rip out my petals because I made twice the amount - I’m a beginner and needed more of a close up view of exactly where (which holes) those 7 dc were going! I put them in every hole!, But after I ripped them out I figured out where to ‘skip’ and where to stitch into and the coaster came out great! Thank you for a great tutorial for this beginner! Will make more of these!
I discovered this video a few months ago and have been making these coasters ever since. Made several sets already...Thank you very much, they are lovely!
I made two Coaster's this afternoon and I love them! I like the magic ring too. Thank you for the wonderful instructions on your tutorial. You're a great instructor.
Loved this pattern. Searched for crochet coaster patterns and this came up. I've never done coasters before but they work up very quickly and are so cute. Just added rows to get it the size i wanted. Really recommend this pattern
Thank you so much for this tutorial...I know it says old version but it is my first coaster and I have used this one for several sets !Every project I do is like the first time bc of my disability, Thank you again .
I am making it for my mom too for Christmas :) she knows that I recently started knitting and croheting again and she said she could use some drink coasters, so I was like bingo :)))
@@fromspace7 I’ve only started to chrochet becuse of the Harry Styles cardigan.. 😬 Now my whole family wants me to make something for them. I’ve made shawls, beanies and these coasters. Can’t wait for their reaction ☺️😇 Merry Christmas ❄️✨
Love your video I suggest showing front of project instead of top was having trouble establishing where to in spaces look forward to more of your projects
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am a beginner crocheter and this is my second project. I crocheted it as I followed ur video along, and it turned out so good!! It turned out exactly like yours and I was so happy. I only had to watch ur video once in total to get it right, while for my first project I had to rewatch 6x. Your instructions are super easy to follow and ur voice is very soothing!! I love them and I’m obsessed with making these
Thanks! That’s very sweet of you. I’m glad you were able to make it in one try! I live to hear these things so I know I’m found something right lol... Funny people say my voice is soothing in my old videos where I had to wait for my kids to fall asleep and record the voice over in bed next to them so I had to use my “quiet voice”
Designs by Phanessa haha but yeah this was very helpful. Everyone was amazed by it, and if someone like me could make it, then it is truly a good tutorial. I’m watching it again so I can memorize it 😂 I’ll subscribe too in the meanwhile
I really Recorded this vide again based on some of the comments in so it’s linked in the description box and video if you want to check that out. But if this one works for you then there’s no point ha ha
This turned out to be beautiful! However, I would recommend using a stich marker to help keep track of where you are! Thank you so much for posting this video!! :-)
I'm a DIY lover like my mother, and love creating things myself. My mother is a perfectionist (unlike me) and since I was making this for her, it had to be flawless. Surprisingly, this pattern was simple and I didn't need a re-do!
Hi Phanessa.. this is such a lovely pattern ❣️ and very easy to make, I just finished doing a pair of it and it's wonderful..👌 I'll be making more with different colors, thank you.. If possible please put videos of fruit coasters.. Lots of love from India, bye... ❣️😊
Thank you so much for such an amazing tutorial. My coaster turned out to be awesome! How can I create a grainy square around this? Any sort of help would be great.
Also confused on rd. 4. Are you skipping a stitch each time when you say 1 double crochet in the next 2 stitches? Its stated the same way in both the video and the written instructions. For those of us that are new to this it's confusing.
Love this coaster. Just wish you would say how many double crochets you should have at the end of each round. Also, I found it difficult to tell exactly what you were calling the single crochet stitches on the last round. Would have liked for you to lay the coaster down to point this out. Thank you
Hi Sharla! Thank you for your feedback! There is a link in the description box to the written pattern post with all those information including photos. ♥ This video is to assist with the written pattern. I'm new to videos so I appreciate the feedback! ♥
Hello my coasters are done now but I made some changes tho. I wanted to show you but I don’t think you tube has camera to show you what I have done. Thank you so much
I don’t know how to slip stitch into chain 3 in round 4. I think I messed it up there and was left with not enough ch spaces in the next round. Can you please show a close up of where exactly chain 3 is? 😭
So when we chain 1 in round 4 are we skipping a stitch? So it would really be 3 stitches we work pass? Meaning.. Ch 1 (skip a stitch) DC in the next 2 sts. ?
sorry I missed your message! you're NOT skipping a st. the ch1 is an extra st. If you don't continue to increase your coaster will start curling. Check out the updated video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qelcQveYQLA.html
You don’t have to but it won’t be the same. You can try to updated video (linked form here). Maybe that will help? I recommend using the hook size the yarn label recommends.
