Fabulous tutorial series! ⭐️ So clearly presented and easy to follow! THANK YOU much! 😃 I’ve made 3 of these now. I’d like to share with all that if you are more comfortable with a larger hook, I use a 3mm hook with about 5.5oz of Yarn Art Flowers - the result fits perfectly every time inside a 36” hoop. Large & STUNNING MANDALA! Makes a great gift! Thanks again for such a beautiful pattern! ❤
Man I love mandalas. I'm gonna make this one. Hopefully I can find a metal hoop, craft stores near me seem to only hold wooden embroidery hoops? Maybe I'll have to improvise something hehe. Also super cool that it's not using the whole cotton king skein... I can make 3 different mandalas and they'll all go together! Great hallway deco! Thanks for tutorial
Your welcome Em! Thank you for your kind words and I am totally agree with you - cool to have mandalas from one yarn cake as they look good together! Try to check online stores as well. I am buying from Amazon - lots of sizes and types. Hope you will find the right one!
Jeviens de finir mon mandala grace a vous malgré la barrière de la langue vous avez tellement, bien expliquer que je m'en suis sorti admirablement merci mille fois pour ces superbes explications trop bien faites
Thank you Elenice for your kind words! I was worrying if it will be understandable for other languages as well - now I know, that we are doing everything right.
Love this, but you definitely can't use any cotton yarn that you want. I've made 3 out of 3 different yarns so far and only have half the pattern in my 50 cm hoop. I just got some really thin cotton yarn that's more of a thread for my 4th. All in all, I'm very happy. Thank you
Thanks for sharing! Sometimes it is not only because of the yarn. It also depends from the crochet hook size + your type of crocheting (loose or tight).
On row 5 do i start with 3 SC ch3 picot and 2SC? I noticed that you make 3 sc ch3 2sc. But the captions say 2sc ch3 2sc. I love your tutorials and the designs. Do you have a Mandala called Luna? Or could you do a Crescent 🌙 Mandala? Just asking, Luna is my granddaughters name. And I would love to make one in her honor!
Hi Linda. You should do 2sc ch3 2sc. Thank you for your kind words! We do appreciate it. At this point I don't have a pattern named "Luna" and plans are slightly different. But I will think about this idea. Enjoy your crocheting with us!
Hi! I just want to clarify this part but the part where you explain on ROW 5 how to make the picot you say "make 2 single crochets in the chain 3 space, make another single crochet and chain 3...(and so on)" so it seems as though you are saying to make 3 single crochets. I rewatched you doing it over and over and I realized you only make 2 single crochets at first and then 2 more after to picot. So am I just hearing your instructions wrong or is there an error in your speaking instructions?
I was confused too, but then I realised that for the first set of stitches she did not follow her own instructions :) For the rest of the sets she appears to do what the verbal and written instructions say .... 2sc + 1sc with picot + 2sc = 5 stitches total in each ch3 space.
Hi Emily. I 've found some marks on my yarns and it is 2 (fine). Remember to use 1.75mm hook if you want to fit it in 50cm hoop. Enjoy your crocheting!
Hi Juveriya. This Mandala was created for a bigger hoops. You may try to fit it in 20cm hoop but then the yarn must be very thin and a hook size very tiny. Try and you will find your way!
Hi Tamara. It depends from where do you live. Most of the yarns I use are local brands (UK). Some of them are from hobbii.co.uk/ that ships to EU as well. Or you can try www.crochet-uk.co.uk/ - big choice with the needed length. May be something here - www.lovecrafts.com/en-us/ I hope this will help!
This is beautiful. I am making it but have a question. I just finished row 5 as you did and yours is laying flat but mine isn't. Do you think it will flatten out after more rows are added? I have the same amount of stitches you have. Thanks
Good morning Joyce. I think that you need to crochet tighter and then it will be flat. If it doesn't solve this problem - take a half size smaller hook and try once again. Good that you have noticed this on the 5th row!
Thank you for your feedback, we are still experimenting with some video production elements and definitely consider more close shooting of the process.
