FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
-What equipment do you use?
Camera: amzn.to/2jkNDl2
Tripod: amzn.to/2w4ReK8
Ring Light: amzn.to/2w4vrC7

@KingOsama420
@KingOsama420 5 лет назад
hi there, I just made it with a 42.5g (1.5oz) ball of bernat handicrafter cotton yarn, using a 5mm hook and had plenty left over, not enough for another cloth tho. I did seventeen rows and mine turned out a little rectangular, I probably could've done another couple rows but I didn't bother for the sake of doing it the same as on the video. This was fun to crochet. (I know you asked for her, but I feel like I'm able to give some input from my experience)

Excellent video, super clear, thank you! I'm new to crochet but this (and a session from a very helpful friend!) has helped me to pick it up really quickly. One question though, how do you multiply the pattern up or down to make larger or smaller items? I've got chunky yarn which at 28 stitches makes a massive cloth, but working to 20 or 16 gives me a wiggly edge to the work on either side... Thanks in advance x
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet 3 года назад
You’re welcome 😊 This stitch should work as long as your foundation chain is in multiples of two. You could always work a simple border of double crochets (UK terms) around the edges once finished and this would make it nice and even. Hope this helps.

Just curious, what are you saying when you're grabbing the free yarn coming off you left index finger. It sounds like "your neighbor" or is it yarn over? I'm sorry your accent is lovely but with my American dialect/ears, I'm confused. Also, what is the proper way to hold the working yarn in your left hand? I do love your video and this is my very first crochet project! I literally have learned to crochet from this ! So many thanks from Milwaukee,Wisconsin!!

You are very welcome, I'm saying yarn over lol. Here is a video which may help you with holding your yarn :- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GcOzdAzmtNM.html I hope this helps :)

I have no clue what I am doing wrong here. I chain 26 as you state and it does not work like yours. I chain 28 as it is written and it still does not work. I really like the pattern and want to work it but it just is not going in my favor. Please help.
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet 4 года назад
Are you making sure to begin your stitch by working into the same stitch that you just finished with? It can be a little confusing but as long as you are chaining 28 and making your stitches in the right places then it should work out 😊

Is there any possible way of making the middle stitch not so tight?
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet 4 года назад
As you are making each stitch, pull your crochet hook up slightly which will lengthen the yarn and make it less tight. You could also go up a hook size 😊

My 5 mm clover Armour hook looks bigger than yours. Same color but your hook has a thinner shaft. Are different countries have different size hooks? My washcloth turned into a rectangle, not a square. What is the reason? this is my third one, I am still a beginner. Thanks if someone could answer.
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet Год назад
As 5mm is a standard unit of measurement you should find that the hook size matches regardless of whereabouts in the world you are, although they may have different letters or numbers that correspond to them. For your washcloth I would chain more in the beginning and work less rows so that it ends up wider than it is tall 😊
