This is 2 years ago, but girl... you're a life saver!!! I just loc'd my hair 6 months ago, but I'm still a braid/crochet girl. I wanted to try these, but could only find the ones with the "wrapping" step... and that was more work than I wanted to do lol. I can't wait to try your technique! This looks so much easier. Thank you for sharing!
I’m so glad I found a video that’s not so complicated you didn’t have to bug extra hair or anything and I think that’s why I was skeptical about doing it myself because for the life of me I didn’t understand why extra hair was needed for that type of hair but your method is so simple I definitely can’t wait to try it Sunday ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much. I've been searching for a video to do my daughter's hair again but now she has locs. You've made my day because it looks so simple & your hair turned out beautifully.
This is the best method I think and what I planned on doing when I syart my locs. Thanks for the reassurance!! Makes me feel much more comfortable going in
LOVE this method and the video. THIS is the method I remembered seeing once and want to do for my bday coming up. I did faux locs over my dreads back in 2017 and unfortunately I was taught to box braid THEN wrap all the way down from the YT video I saw. I was hurting after. Literally took me ALL weekend as I had to box braid over my locs first then wrap to the ends and I chose a long length. I have 300+ locs in my head. I am still traumatized by the pain and how long it took and I have neck and back injuries so it's harder on me. I used to do hair and dnt have the patience for the salon and can save my money so I was definitely on a hunt for an easier way. This was the EXACT method I was thinking of. I just wanted to see someone else successfully do it. You also described the pros and cons. I may just double wrap areas where I am budding. Two times in that excruciating pain was enough for me. 4 kids and a husband and work for the hospital. Time and rest is precious, I definitely do not need to be in my hair or a salon for hours or days on end. You're a life saver. It looked great!! 🤗🤗🤗
I used to wear faux locs all the time before getting real locs and I’ve been craving them! I’ve seen a lot of warning videos about putting faux locs on top of starter locs but I’m definitely going to try your method, they look great!
you did so good showing the pack, telling how many bundles, how to check and see how many i would need (counting my locs/ braids first *KEY difference beteween you and the others cuz when i got to the store, i was SOOO overwhelmed with options. like, legit, it was riDiculous. anxiety creating even...but i digress...) just a Great tutorial girl. i wish you Much success. suggest listing itemized products list in you descriptio of the video, also i couldn't find the product on your website that the link directly takes you too. went under wigs?
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I didn’t list the product on my Amazon storefront because I didn’t purchase it on Amazon. I purchased it at my local beauty supply store. I will definitely be adding more product links from now on. Thank you 🙏🏾
I love it! This style looks absolutely amazing and you made it look so effortless. Thanks so much for sharing. My question would be is it a hard takedown?
Hey love , nothing changed with my locs and no unraveling at all. I was actually worried that would be an issue bt it was fine honestly. I jus oiled my scalp while it was in
@@EurekaCarterome Thank you so much girl!! I did them last night and recorded a video about it! I know I butchered saying your name in my video....so.. my bad boo!! Lmaoo thank you so much though!
I wanna try this but i have alot of newgrowth that hasnt loc'd so ita a big gap from loc to scalp.. Really dont wanna use rubberbands so what else could i use.. Suggestions?
Honestly, I also had some new growth. And the trick is to only pull YOUR LOC thru the loop that way it’s tied around the crochet loc and makes a knot. So the new growth isn’t as visible.
Ik this video but I wanted to know how old were your starters before you decided to try this method? Mine are 4 months old and definitely locked up, but I wanted to style it for an upcoming visit to my family home.
Hi I wanted to know if you just keep the faux locs in and cut them as your natural dreadlocks grow? I'm thinking about using faux locs as dreadlock extensions to start my dreadlocks so just wanted to know if it will works? Thank you
@@EurekaCarterome I just ended up getting the dreadloc extensions that are more permanent. Got them done today, but I will still cut them off as my natural locs grow out. Thanks again.
Pretty much the opposite of what I did. Jus unravel the hair Cux it was jus wrapped around the Loc and then from there u slip it out of the crochet loop
