Hi, do I make 4 of each side pieces, both sides of front, and both sides of back? OR is it both sides of front and attach to regular squares on back? Thanks Deborah
Начинаешь смотреть видео на английском, но понимаешь, что человек из страны бывшего СССР 😂 сразу вспоминается, как в школе на уроках английского тексты рассказывали с этим русским акцентом😅
Most of the yarn is a 4 ply that I have on hand. Also I was taught to block each square prior to seaming together. Will Seaming the dress prior to blocking change how it will fit. I apologize for so many questions. I just love this pattern and want to make sure it come out right. Thanks again for your patience with me.
You can adjust your square to the size of the patter. I used thicker yarn for my sister’s dress. I adjusted the squares and finished it. If you want PM me I will send you photos😊
Hi! Great tutorial thanks so much. I notice when you cut the yarn your tails are usually pretty short - how do you weave short tails in? I’m pretty new to weaving in ends so any tips would be appreciated!
Any ideas how l could make the top bust part smaller without taking the whole dress apart? The straps are too long but if l shorten them it is too tight under the arms. Also the neckline is a bit low. Any ideas would be very welcome.
Shoulders straps - you can crochet an additional square(#1 or 2) instead of the full one. Neckline - try to make 2 rows of sc around it. Armholes - maybe you should use 2 halfs of granny squares instead of the full ones in the bust part. I unraveled the dress 4 times to adjust it to my size. The second one I unraveled 2 times with thicker yarn.
My final solution was to remove a square as you suggested. I also did 2 rows of sc at the top decreasing between the granny squares. Finally l made simple straps with a tiny granny square at the front and the rest sc. My daughter is tiny at the top. The next time l will do size xs. I really enjoyed the pattern and l am looking forward to your next project. Thank you for your help.
It’s might work. The dress looks easy to make but it isn’t the easiest project in the world 😊I’m really glad that you liked the pattern, thank you for your kind words. If you want you could write me PM and I will send you a photo of the side of my dress. Maybe it will help. It’s hard to explain 😁
