My cat is already planning all I made him was a cute collar with pom poms on the ends to tie it but he doesn't like it and he's trying to steal my yarn
Magic ring: 6hdc R2: hdc inc, hdc R3: 1hdc, hdc inc, repeat 5:34 R4: 1hdc into next 4 stitches Chain 10( depending on size make more or less chain to wrap around cat’s ear) 6:20 Skip 4 stitches and hdc into the 5th stitch, hdc into the next four stiches Chain 10, skip four stiches and sl into the 5th stitch R5: chain 1 and hdc into same stitch, 1hdc into next 4 stiches 9:30 11hdc not into stitch but around stitch( however many ch you did add on more, for example if ch11 then do 12 hdc) Hdc into next 5 stiches Repeat 11hdc around chain R6: hdc al to each stitch(32 hdc in total if you chained 10) 11:46(about length) Riffle brim: R7: 1hdc into front loop only, 2hdc into next stitch front loop only, (repeat) R8: ch1, 3hdc into each stitch When reaching end sl( slip stitch) and weave in ends Watch at 18:20 to finish the rest ( don’t worry your almost done )
@@annaleejaeger5450 I used a lighter weight cotton yarn for my hat so I was using a 4mm hook. When I did R4 I had 24 stitches so this is what I did: - 1hdc into next 7 stitches - Chain 15, skip 5 stitches & hdc into next stitch - 1hdc into next 6 stitches (should be a total of 7hdc) - Chain 15, skip 5 stitches & sl into first hdc of the round When it came to hdc onto the chains, I did 16 for each. Hope this helps!
This was my first time crocheting something this big but your instructions were so clear and you showed me how the stitches were done that I actually made it🎉❤❤❤❤❤I’m so excited to make more for my other cats ❤❤
omg i ended up with the cutest little hat ever, im just a beginner and your explanation was so clear !! I can't wait to try the hat on my cat, i was smiling all the time while making it!!! its so cute

Tysm for this pattern! My best friend has recently moved into their apartment with their cat and I'm now proclaimed the godparent (LOL). So I've literally made 3 of these hats so far in the past hour for her.
this was my first try at an actual project other than a dishcloth, and it was so easy to follow! my hat came out a little small as i used a different type of yarn, but im definitely going to buy a better type and try again!! thank you for this tutorial!!
mine came out slightly too small to go around both ears but a great tutorial! started learned to crochet 2 days ago and this was my first attempt at an actual project besides squares, coasters and mini hearts
This is so cute! I did this, followed exactly how you did the hat step by step and it worked out great! Thank you so much for sharing an easy and simple way of making this hat❤ I put it on my cat and she loved it ❤❤❤ thank uuu ❤❤❤❤
I spent an hour making it, he wore it for 2 minutes and shook it off… that’s what i expected though 😂❤ had so much fun with this pattern, very thorough thank you!!❤❤ i wish i could and pics on mobile, Ernie looks so cute!!!
I am not a crochet beginner and still i got this wrong over and over again. Only when i started doing less crochets than she was telling us to do, it suddenly worked. When she said to do 6 double crochets, i had to do 5 for it to be correct, im just so so confused why no one else in the comments noticed it, am i doing something wrong? and if so, what is it? please help
What I learned while making this was that the larger I made the initial circle, the flatter the hat got. So to get the hat round and bucket-like, it’s best to keep it as small as possible. Also pay attention to the number of stitches each round has so you can keep it even and symmetrical! 😸😸
I love your video's. You are very clear in what's needed, why, & simplified to understand. Keep doing what your doing, I love it all. And, this little hat fits my sweet Chihuahua, Daisy, perfectly. Such a cute hat.
My pfp is my cat in this hat 😂 he is so tired of all of this lol. I am a beginner at crochet and found this sort of difficult so i made a magic ring and made it larger with increase stitches. I followed the pattern when adding the raised ruffles tho. Still turned out great overall, keep up the great work!
Hey dumb question but I’m Making this for my dog rn and I’m a beginner and I just need to add another round for the circle to reach her ears, so I just do another layer of 1hdc and 2hdc on repeat right?
This was my second crochet project ever and it turned out amazing!! I really loved your tutorial it really made is easy to follow and I didn’t have to how I was supposed to do it you showed really well. Tysm 💗
Thank you for sharing ❤ i have two cats but they dont like to put anything on their body but i will still try this coz' it's looks so so so soooo cute!! . My pepper looks like yours he's black cat .
This is great though my cat was adult and the head was a little small so I did another round of half double crochets increase before for forming the ear holes
This is my first time doing this kind of thing. But result is amazing 🥰🥰 I love it . But my cat probably doesn’t like it hhe 😅. Thank you for your clear instructions 😊
Just followed this tutorial, and omgg I’m in love with how it came out for my cat 🥺 your instructions were so easy to follow and the way you described each step was so easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to create and share this, I will def be making another one soon 🩷
if i choose to increase an extra round near the start (1 hdc in two stitches, increase, repeat) how do i calculate what to do when im adding the ears? bc yours has four stitches remaining but mine is like 10 or 11 so im unsure what to do . thanks !
hehehehe omggg I love your comment! Made me smile and laugh! 🥰 This tutorial definitely works for any pet actually! If you post anywhere, please tag me so I can see and share on my insta! 🥰
This tutorial was great only problem my cat must have a massive head 😂cause it doesn’t fit and now i will have to make another one 😂😂but great video xx
im crying i tried following your original pattern and see if it fits but my cats heads are too damn big 😂 i’m new to crochet, so i altered it and now it looks like a shower cap 😭
Okay so I don’t know what I did wrong, but it ended up curved/decreasing too fast?? 3 corners are beautiful but at some point I must have done something wrong and I can’t identify what it was. Seems like it’s closing quickly. I tried looking but Incant see where I went wrong? Any advice??
