Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for this clear understanding of how to work this stitch. I was wanting to learn how to make a twisted ear warmer head band and was watching another person and got completely confused. Should have just come here in the first place to get the gist of it. So very appreciative of your easy instructional videos, they have helped me so much. Bless you Sarah-Jayne x
After 50 years of crocheting, today I read a pattern that included a herringbone half double, which I'd never seen. After finding their explanation of the stitch insufficient, I came to RU-vid to find tutorials for stitching that stitch, and found out there's also a herringbone double, of which I saw complaints it was more complicated than the hbhdc. But after watching your video - and I love your videos - I thought, this is just not a complicated stitch at all! Thank you so much for yet again being helpful & masterful, and including great tips along the way!
I am a beginner at crotch. A few weeks ago I only knew one stitch. Now I have learned several. You channel has been a great help. Your instructions are amazing. I am so glad I found your channel.
I always wonder what you do with your samples after - they'd make an interesting blanket if all joined together especially as you always use complimentary colours in your tutorials! Love Sunday mornings chilling with a cuppa and one of your tutorials. Thank you!
What a lovely idea :) I'm sure it'll be beautiful. In Spotlight Australia (a local yarn craft store), there's a pattern book published every season with 2018 featuring a patchwork throw. Amazing for leftovers & the environment. ♡♡♡♡♡ Have a splendid week, dear. Xx
This video was so helpful! I'm trying to make a blanket with this stitch. I'm barely finishing row 1 so I can't really see the pattern yet in my super chunking yarn, but I can't wait to see what it looks like once I get to at least five rows done.
Hiya, beautiful stitch thank you. Can't wait to try this one. Got so many stitches to try I don't know where to start or what to do next! HELP!!! Lol Hope you and baby are doing ok!! Take care of you both and lots of love. Xxx
This is a beautiful stitch. Thank you for sharing this pattern. I am going to use this on my next baby blanket witch I am about to make. I wanted something different then just half double crochet. I really like this so thanks again
I love it!!! Question: where do I find your notifications? Is it within all the other ones in the notification tab? If so I dislike having to search through them all to find yours.. :(Any way to fix this?? Love your channel!
@@bellacococrochet I'm working this pattern right now. Im making a textured Afghan using various textures. This stitch works up quickly, easily and beautifully. Thank you
this has been one of the most easyest things that I have found that has been we'll done as far as patterns most all of them are to fast.agian we'll done
I've learned so much from you, it's been amazing! I just made my first ever shawl thanks so much for teaching all of us. I have a quick question do you or have you done any videos with regards to slippers I've tried a few patterns but they're really not what I'm looking for if not could you make a video plllleeeeaaasssseeee😀😀😀 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 thanks!
thank you for the new Video i love it you really do explain it well thanks to you i started to crochet again thank you very much i love all your videos
Thank you for always creating such easy-to-follow crochet tutorials. I'm off to get yarn today to make a fall cushion cover!! I wonder how the pattern would look with multicolored yarn? xo
This creates the most luscious fabric textures. I’m making my son a blanket for Christmas 🎄. At least that’s my goal, my 1 year old Twins might think otherwise.
Ok this video is old but i hope you’re still active and getting alerts. I’m a noob so pardon the question but at the end of the second row are you stitching into the first or second loop of the chain 2. Wasn’t entirely clear to me. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial!!!
Thank you, I'm glad you like it! :-) You should be working into the top of the chain two. It can help if you use a stitch marker to pop through the top of the chain as you make it so it's easy to see when you work the next row.
Hi! Thank you so much for your videos! I love them! I love trying all the different stitches! Im just wondering what stitch/stitches you would reccommend for a baby blanket? Thanks! 😀
I found a pattern I’m making that involves this stitch! I’m very excited. But it has this stitch along with the herringbone double crochet two together. I do so much better with videos but I can’t find a video with this specific stitch. Help?
Hi, I am trying to make a shawl using this stitch. The stitch count is constant; yet the work appears to be spreading outwards. Do you have suggestions?
If your stitch count is correct then it could be down to a tension; often when we get into a project and begin to relax, our tension can loosen. I have some hints and tips for keeping a consistent tension here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SRVA_4uNsNw.html 😊
Sarah I love your teaching skills and if I wanted to make this as a blanket for the back of my couch how many chains would I need to create the blanket ?
This would really depend on the yarn you are using, your hook size and your personal tension, if you do a swatch with your yarn then you should be able to work it out from there :)
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but my piece keeps getting wider and wider - no additional stitches and my tension is the same but it's curling in from the bottom. I've pulled it apart three times and tried again but to no avail... help?
I do have a video on how to keep your edges straight - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YA46KLsg9LM.htmlsi=AuZQADD5Spkb_ma7 I hope this helps :)
Why not work through three or four more chains without all the talking??? Repetition creates retention. Rewinding we have to listen to all the talking AGAIN??? It’s frustrating.
If you watch videos without audio - thats how you can tell if people make great videos. Without audio it looks like shes having a stroke. Be clear, concise - not too fast or slow but get on with it, thank goodness she marked the spots but this is why artists like TL YARN CRAFTS does so well, you don’t see Toni blabbing for 5 minutes stroking her nails along a basic stitch without really saying anything different than the first 10 words she said
