If you’re wondering how to start, you’d follow the exact same steps in ribbing, although when you get to the glove palm, you’d just want to be mindful in adding your accent colour in the 12th stitch from where you’d seam the sides up-basically mirroring the left glove (so for the right hand glove, you’d seam on the left side edge, so count 12 stitches from that side!)
@@dear.rainie thank you!! I now see what you mean by mirroring it- I’ve finished the gloves now and I love them so much! Thanks for the tutorial and I’m defo subscribing ❤
I just finished both gloves! Here’s where to put the accent colors on the right one: R3 24th st R4 11-13 R5 22-26 R6 9-15 R7 20-28 R8 8-16 R9 20-23 + 25-28 R10 9-10 + 14-15 Hope it helps 😊
hi! this was very helpful but im confused as to how to stich the sides of the reight one. Is it the same as the left or do we need to do smth different
This is the first time I do a color change like this in a crochet project and your tutorial was P E R F E C T✨✨ It looks so clean and gorgeous and i love it, thank you so much for this tutorial
As a beginner, the totorial was pretty easy to follow! I will say that mine don't look as neat was yours though lol. The ribbing fit perfeclty but the rest was a bit too big. I have rather small hands though!
nice to hear you gave this a crack! don't stress, it'll look 'neater' the more practice you get! 😇✨ oh, I'm sorry to hear about the body being a bit large - something you might consider is switching to a smaller hook (maybe half to one size down?) so you get a tighter tension when you're working on that part of the glove specifically!
I mean no hate with this, but your tutorial was easy to follow ofcourse! but when you changed colours you kind of just skipped by past i could barely see the stitches and was just confused through out. also i mean to ask what’s the difference between yarning over or under here? you never really explained the reason
Hi, thank you so much for the tutorial❤ I was wondering do I need to chain one every time I finish the row while doing the glove palm and do I need skip one stitch everytime from the beginning? I'm confused a little😅
hello! good question, yes the chain one is just so you can turn your work (and create a neat/even edge), and it's not something that you'll work into, so you can view it as you're 'skipping' a stitch every time. Hope that makes sense!
hey, can I ask you? I don’t understand how the main body (before the elastic) becomes wider than the elastic? I have already tried several tutorials and was dissatisfied, because the elastic is large and the body of the glove is small, so I am interested. I saw your video and realized that your glove has a wider body. thanks in advance for your answer💞
hey, thanks for writing - I suspect it's because of the differences in stitches used between parts (the ribbing could typically create a compact, stretchier fabric), another thing you can also try is going down a hook size, or maybe even up a hook size to create even greater variations. hope that helps 0:~)
I just completed my one hand gloves with is of left hand andd itss perfect now I'm so tangled because i don't know how I'm gonna make of right hand ...can you give me some tipss?😢
nice work! you may wanna check out the pinned comment (where another viewer asked a similar q), hope that helps - if not, just let me know specifically what I can assist you with!
hey @Isabella-lk9ew & @hoseokssprite9925 (major apologies for the tardiness)! I'd used less than a 50 gram skein for both gloves for my main colour, and quite a small amount for the accent colour, a 25 gram ball of yarn is more than enough :~)
Hey, thanks for asking - I think I've fielded a similar question before, the short answer is I believe it'll still work (I discuss this at 06:29), this calculator might be able to help you, percentagecalculator.net/ (e.g. The '12th' stitch is when I add my first colour change, and it's around 34% of my '35' stitches. You could input the total number of stitches to get your own percentage and figure out when to start your colour changes. Hope that helps!
👋 You're referring to the start of the glove palm, right? To be clear you'll be using single crochet stitches throughout - for the start of the palm, single crochet in your main colour for two entire rows (and then change to your accent colour in the third row). Let me know if I may have misunderstood your question, hope that helps
@@xyeonjvnzx All good, you'd start with a foundation chain and another row of single crochet. After that first row, you'd start row 2 by working a single crochet into the back loops only (and continue that way to create the ribbing stitch). Let me know if you've any further q's!
Heya, oh no! That's ok - I'd suggest using a measuring tape (hopefully you have one handy), to wrap around your wrist and get your measurement (but don't wrap too tightly, give yourself an extra 10 mm or so). Then, you can use that number and chain the amount you need. I'd also use a calculator like this one, percentagecalculator.net/, to work out where to place your accent colour (e.g. the length of my glove is made up of 35 chains, and I add my accent colour into the 12th st - ~34% of the total length). Hope that helps & makes sense! Let me know if I can help you w/ any further questions :~)
@@ericafernandes5476 idk how to explain but instead of having the first color added at stich 11 u now do it at stitch 11 from the opisite side. So have a stich marker stich 11 from the left and then croshet till ur 3 stitches before that 11 stitch, then u just do what the video says :) i hope this is clear :D
hey, thanks for the feedback, I empathise - running ads is a means of support for indie creators, like myself. I can't always predict the exact number any one viewer will see, however it sounds like this one's becoming disruptive (which I'd wanna avoid)! will do some re-assessing 👼
Heya, that's a good question! I think this calculator can help you, percentagecalculator.net/ (e.g. '12' stitches is around 34% of my '35' stitches, when I input 34% of your '25' stitches I get 8.5, so perhaps adding in your accent colour at either the 8th/9th stitch will work!) Hope that helps, let me know if I'm able to support with anything else. ✨
