Hi Sarah-Jayne. Just wanted to say thanks for the tutorial. I'm halfway through and it's looking fab. I've also followed your granny square tutorial, which was really helpful. I've been teaching myself to crochet this year, and your videos are some of the best I've found.
I just start this one! But I used a Medium 4 milk cotton yarn and 5.5 mm crochet hook. I chained 35! Had to frog the first few rows thrice before I got the hang of it, but finally can do it like how you showed in the video. I'll try to finish it as soon as I can ❤
Finally a pattern that's easy and beautiful and very nicely explained. You certainly deserve more subscribers. I wish I'd seen your tutorials earlier. Anyway thanks so much Bella Coco😍
I have started making this beautiful scarf/snood, and so far and have used two 50g balls of the DB Rialto Chunky yarn and the scarf measures 64cm in length. I think I will need more than the 3 balls, as suggested in the video, as I cannot see how it can go around your neck twice at the predicted length of 96cm. Have other crocheters found this is the same case as me? Love the turoial video, very easy to follow so thank you Bella Coco.
Could you possibly do a newborn hat tutorial? I'm currently crocheting baby blankets to donate to pregnancy crisis centers and shelters, and would love to donate hats as well! Your tutorials are the only ones that I can successfully crochet after watching.
the spaces in between my V look loose and not very V like (V V instead of VV if that makes sense. When I finish the first row of Vs is the yarn supposed to go through the loose gaps?
I had trouble finishing the following rows. Do you treble into the top of the chain 3 and then chain 3 again at the end of each row? Im confused. Also i chained 23 to begin but then the video said 22 and i ended up with an extra stitch. Can you help please? Thanks!
I'm sorry for the confusion; although in the video I say 22 you should actually be chaining 23 (this is corrected in a caption that appears on screen) as per the written instructions. At the end of each row you should be working into the top of the turning chain, and then chaining 3 again ready to begin the next row 😊
@@bellacococrochet thanks so much for your reply! I have watched it again a couple of times and i think i get it now. I am currently about halfway through my scarf! Just to clarify the turning chain is a treble isnt it? Thanks so much for your help!
I just made this!! Thank you! It’s my third project and I feel so accomplished! It is the first thing that I make that actually looks lovely enough to wear out haha 😂 thanks again!!! 💐💐💐
Can you be addicted to crocheting? If so, I am... and your videos are my trigger! Your explanations are awesome... this particular scarf I've made about 20 times this month! 😛
Sarah I really enjoy your video tutorials. You always make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to making this gorgeous scarf? Cowl? Lots of love from Gusher, Utah (USA) ❤️Trista
Wow, an inspiring video, can't wait to get more yarn and to get started on this! Thanks for making this look so easy and clear. I have used a few of your tutorial videos and they are so easy to follow! Thanks for sharing.
I decided to give crochet a go after 50 years of knitting, and threw myself in at the deep end by making this and referring to your book - You Can Crochet, for guidance. I'm incredibly pleased with the result and can't wait to try something else. Thank you for the clear and precise instructions 😍
Beautiful! Im going to make one today! Everyone I know is getting an infinity scarf for Christmas this year.. they are perfect for our Seattle weather. HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
i made one using Lion Brand Mandala yarn, and even though it is a light #3 and I used a 5.75mm J hook, this pattern worked great with that yarn. Thanks for the tutorial
I watched the tutorial to get an idea how to make a scarf. I am set to start. Your tutorial is so easy and I thank you for sharing it. It will be my first ever scarf to crochet.
Thank you so much for your easy to follow instructions and tutorial videos. Just finished this as my first crochet project and have my very own infinity scarf... Just in time for winter.
I have only recently started crocheting and am absolutely hooked. Was looking for a Christmas present to make for my Daughter and came across this video. Your instructions are so clear and concise, thank you!!!
This is the second time making this scarf and I’m still in love with the simplicity and overall effect of this pattern. Your tutorials are STILL my favourites to listen to. Thank you.
So beautiful, So simple! Was surprised to see that a chain of 23 was so loose and nice. Loved the way you joined both ends of the scarf, i usually use the needle to join the whole thing so when i use the technique you showed im sure it will be soo much easier. Great instructions and easy to follow like always!
Bella would you be able to do a video on how to crochet the foundation half double crochet and the foundation triple crochet please. I just can't get to grips with it. I love your video's and have learnt all I know from you. Thank you xx
Hey Sarah-Jayne! I love your videos and you inspire me to make time in my busy routine to crochet and following your tutorials are easy and a great relaxation method for me! Thank you! :) However, I am struggling with this video as I only keep getting 6 Vs in every line and I feel like the width is getting shorter as I make more rows :( Help please!
Thank you so much for your tutorials. I am a newbie (both on your channel and as far as crocheting goes). Given that I do not like wool much, do you think i could use acrylic for this? If so, which would you recommend? Thanks a lot!
Your tutorial is great but my scarf is turning out to be a disaster , it keeps getting narrower as I crochet, have to keep ripping back and have only done a few rows
Hi Bella, Thank you again for a great tutorial! However, I am having a hard time finding the written pattern on your website. I see lots of pretty pictures to click to get to the patterns they represent, but the only picture of the scarf I see leads me to twitter, Which again gives links to your website! Haha I am going around in circles!! :) Help please!?? xx
Hi. I have been asked to make an infinity shawl which can be used to cover the head but must be wide enough to drop down well over shoulders. This is for a teenager who has had her arm radically amputated at the shoulder. I have the yarn in DK but all patterns are in chunky. I prefer the English tutorials as US terms get me confused. Please could someone help me. This is fairly urgent. It must be easy crochet please.
It's possible to make this infinity scarf in DK yarn - you will just need to adjust the size. Your starting chain should be in multiples of three, plus five for turning. You can chain to whichever length you desire and then follow the pattern as normal 😊
its sarah louise definitely! You could double strand so hold the two ends together like one thicker strand or just use the dk weight yarn and crochet the cowl as normal. I think the main reason Bella Coco used chunky yarn is so it was quicker to make - just remember your amount of yarn needed will vary from hers! Hope that helps
I continued the pattern until I had done 65 rows but you can make the scarf as long or short as you want, there is no set size 😊 Continué el patrón hasta que hice 65 filas, pero puedes hacer la bufanda tan larga o corta como quieras, no hay un tamaño establecido 😊
Hi, just found your channel the other day and love your videos! Thanks for giving the stitches in U.K. and U.S. terms very helpful for us yanks! Your directions are soooo clear. Please keep making more videos! :-)
A double crochet in the US is a treble in the UK, it's the same stitch just different terminology. This chart maybe of help to you - bit.ly/Conversionchart :)
Thanks for another great tutorial! I have to tell you that back in March of this year, my son got married, I decided then that since a baby will likely be on the horizon that I should learn to crochet. I found a tutorial by you on how to make a granny square & started there. I think I have done just about all of your tutorials & am now to a point where I'm pretty confident that I can make just about anything and I also have a house full of useful dishcloths :) So thanks again! I'm completely obsessed with crocheting & have even begun to spin my own yarn. I owe it all to you!
Thank you for sharing your tutorials, ❤️ your tutorial videos and your work your very talented. I do have a question though, can any crochet pattern be used? Thank you 😊🇺🇸
