Hi Sarah, I’m so excited about this project. I found you in Dec or Jan. I returned to crocheting after many years. I have had Covid since the beginning of Nov. When I crocheted years ago I only did a couple of baby blankets and taught myself the “crochet a long.” I was successful in that one lol. I am a card maker and have tons and tons of inks and stamps along with a ton of card stock. I’m on you tube A LOT and came upon your site or visa versa. Lol. I love this C A L. I will see what’s in my small amount of stash then get the yarn I need. I thought I would give you a couple of suggestions for future squares if needed: Monkey, Zebra, Penguin, Sheep, Fox, Squirrel, Bunny. Lol just a thought if you get stuck or need some help. ❤gayle

Anyone making blankets out of this pattern, how do you make it look good from the back? I’m thinking of doing all the details again for the back, but what’s everyone else doing?

Do you have to do 2 sides? Or could you just do a plain side as well 🤔

Can i use a 4 hook and add more foundation chain? Mine is holey( beginner here)

I have a book, but it tells me to add on the details by joining the yarn into the already crochetted square. I have no idea how. This seems simpler

You need to try and make your videos a little better for beginners! Also while trying to follow along I have noticed on your videos for this blanket you often have what you are doing off the screen which makes it very difficult especially for beginners. On the video showing how to stitch the blanket it would have been helpful for you to show a couple of rounds especially around the corners. I had to frog the project around 8 times. Thank goodness I found a video from TL Yarn Crafts to help me figure out the corners!
