Oh no wonder. I did mine 120 rows and still ended up using more yarn than the pattern called for with no tassels. No worries, I still like it. Finished scarf, now just debating about adding tassels. 🤩😜
I cannot believe it !!! I try this for the first time and it really came out nice! Mind you I am not an expert but I follow your instructions, had to put on slow speed so I could catch up, but it worked , I did it!! I don’t know , but you made it look easy so I said what heck let me try it , what do I have to lose and it came out nice ! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful craft and your patience you are the best ! ❤️🙏🤗👍👍
@@HookedbyRobin, You did a heck of a job on this scarf. It looks stunning. I usually avoid making crochet items with the puff stitch. This is actually my least favor of crochet stitch. But I sure will give this one a try. It looks amazing beautiful. Well done young lady !
I made 2 scarves in one night with this! My yarn was a 6mm and I used a 6.5mm hook with it, I did 80 puff stitch rows, was so quick and easy and actually looked really pretty and complicated! Perfect gifts for mothers day 💕 thank you!
This scarf is so romantic, antique-like and dreamy! I’m a little intimidated to try it since I’m still rather new at crocheting. Yet I would love see if I could indeed master it! Thank you so much for this fantastic project! 🌷🌷🌷🌷
ROBIN!!! Girl...this is beautiful!! (Did you see how I talked to you like we’re old friends? 😬) I absolutely love your videos but THIS one....WOW! I can see myself not only making this scarf but also using the same technique for other projects. Thank you for the thorough explanation and your “pop your hook in” little sayings that I love so much! 🥰
Dear Robin, I'm one of those people who cannot do puff stitches but find them beautiful. How ever if you substitute a 4 together DC cluster and do everything else exactly the same you get a very similar look. Thank you so much for this video. I made mine a shawl , wrap doing this and it is lovely. You are such a great teacher. I have used so many of your patterns. Happy day!!!
Thanks for the cluster double crochet idea. I am in the process of making it the way you said and I’m very pleased with how it’s turning out. I tried four or five times to do that puff stitch and just don’t have the patience.
Hello Robin! Beautiful pattern for scarf, shawl or blanket . I will made one only need to choose the perfect yarn from my stash. Thank you for sharing your tutorial! Stay safe 😉😷👋🇺🇸💖🌻🌹😽
I was soooo intimidated by puff stitches but you explained it so well and took your time! I'm only on my first strip but I enjoy it so much and can't wait to finish!
Oh what a delightful pattern with so many possibilities! I did a different pattern MIM pattern sometime back and enjoyed it but this one is is simpler yet seems more complicated and I can see how one could relax and enjoy the process of making it. You have inspired me out of a crochet slump and I thank you! I understood your clear instructions the 1st time around , although I will watch it again to jot down the pattern instructions in case I need them if I get fatigued and addlebrained late at night when I am free to crochet without interruptions. You showed me a complete pattern in under 18 minutes and I can make so many things with it! Amazing!
I loved making this scarf! I made mine with 4 rows with yarn that has 3 colors on the skein; tan, bone & light grey. It’s beautiful! Your tutorial is very easy to follow! Thank you! I’m a new subscriber to your channel!
As someone who was recently diagnosed with arthritis. This was so much easier on my hands. Thank you for showing us this. I was wondering if you have a video on the fringe at the end of the scarf?
This is so pretty 😍iv been trying to find a scarf pattern for some northern lights yarn that I got to make myself a scarf so will definitely be trying this ,thank you for your easy to follow tutorial xx
Robin, I fell asleep last night whilst watching this video. I then dreamt that you had come to my house to teach me personally, and were standing before a whiteboard in my kitchen, going thru the steps. I've never seen you, but in my dream you were a very pretty short-haired blonde. While you were talking, my husband (some random guy i had never seen, nonetheless, i knew i was married to him!) wanders into the kitchen, grabs his chest and proceeds to start turning purple and gasping for breath. I yell, "Robin! He's having a heart attack! Call 911!" You turn and glare at me and say, "Now, pop a single crochet into the next stitch." I go to the bathroom and grab a bottle of aspirin which turns out to have black flakes all over them. I ask you if they're any good, and you turn back to the board and continue with the lessons. I find my phone, call 911 and the EMTs arrive and start working frantically on my husband, while i'm yelling, "Robin, do shut up!" But no, you continue giggling and going thru the video. The EMTs look at each other as if to say, "WTF is wrong with this lady?" Then i woke up, and of course the video was still playing just as loud, and i almost died laughing! BTW, i'm not even married......
My daughter has just popped over for a visit and so I read your dream out loud for all to hear - my daughter was in TEARS of laughter! 😂😂😂 I'm not blonde LOL I actually have bright blue hair at the moment! Now, stop commenting on RU-vid and POP A SINGLE CROCHET IN THE NEXT STITCH 😂😂😂😂😂
I so enjoy mile a minute project and the absolutely tops all of them! It’s just beautiful and such intricate workmanship. Once I get some other projects done, this is the top of the list of projects. I’m so excited about it and thank you so much. PS: I so enjoy you and your videos!
Robin, I totally get why you're obsessed with this pattern! I'm making a blanket instead of a scarf (and using 2 strands of yarn), and I'm really zipping through it. Even with just 3 rows connected so far, I can tell it's going to be really pretty. I see a LOT of King Cole Beaches yarn in my future.....going to order a ton of it once it's back in stock. I can't help but wonder if your puff stitch scarf made this particular yarn so popular; those colors made me pick up my hook after a 10-year break....thanks again for sharing this pattern!
This is absolutely stunning. Hope I get the chance to make one of these soon…I’m knee deep in beanie orders at the moment though. Was this a 3 weight yarn?! Also, was that a narwhal on your bandaid?! 👀…you’re adorable as well! 💖
The scarf is beautiful!! I know this yarn was discontinued so does anyone know of a duplicate yarn? I found a similar colored yarn but it’s chenille and it doesn’t look right with puff stitches (I’m doing a basketweave instead).
This is so pretty and a little intimidating ! At first I thought there was no way that I was good enough to try this but after watching your video ,I think I can do it ! so I’m going to give it a try! Wish me luck!
How beatiful and delicate looking it is! This has to be the prettiest scarf, all those wonderful puff stitches surrounded by delicate lattice work. How cosy is this going to be. I hope I can do this pattern justice....thank you for sharing xxxx
Absolutely love this scarf and can’t wait to try it!! I need to find the perfect color; I don’t think I have anything on my stash that moves me 😆 By the way, I love watching you work. Instructions are very easy to follow. Thank you 😊💕💕
I'm halfway through my scarf and it's going very well. I noticed at first that because of the 2 chains that are added to the first puff stitch makes it larger than the second puff stitch so I went ahead and changed the second puff stitch to 5 stitches instead of 4. This makes the puff stitches more of the same size beside each other. At first I was having trouble with the puff stitches having the length I wanted but by placing my index finger on the yarn against the end of the hook while yarning over and through, yarning over again to make the puff stitch, this held the length that I wanted and worked very well. Thank you for a great pattern, I can't wait until it's finished.
Finally made this ❤ I really wanted to MAKE everyone Christmas present this year :) searched and searched for something for my mama and then remembered this gem 💎 !!! I made one full cream and it turned out SO beautiful 😍 thank you so much !!!
I’m a beginner who has only completed 2 items so far ( a cowl and a cushion cover) and this is now on my to do list thanks to your excellent, easy to follow tutorial. Many thanks xxxxx
Hey Robin - I am having such a problem with being able to Puff stitch after the chain 3. No matter what I've tried, I can never get it through :(. Can I send you a vid of what I'm doing wrong? Thanks so much, Amy XO.
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm fairly new to crochet and find it difficult to do that many puff stitches that are the same size. Thank you to Michelle Cronmiller who offered the suggestion of doing 4dctog for a similar look. I had to modify it a little more for my liking. Used pink, spring green, and a variegated pink, green & brown. Now just need to make the tassels
Hello dear, could this puff stitch mile a minute scarf be made into a muffler? A muffler is a cylindrical shaped hand warmer used quite a few years ago. Probably before mittens and gloves were thought of. It was something ladies and girls would wear with their fancy coats. Some of them also had a really long string worn around the neck to keep from dropping the muffler when the hands weren't in it.
