I am so happy to share with you another unique towel topper design. for a Floating Crochet Heart Stitch Towel Holder. The floating shamrock stitch is one of my creations, and I'm excited to present this stitch in a Towel Topper.
One of the standout features of this towel holder design is the incorporation of a crocheted buttoned tab around a wooden ring. These rings are readily available in the macrame section of most craft stores.
I will show you how to crochet the tab with the floating shamrock stitch around the wooden ring. You then button the tab around an oven or fridge handle The wooden ring becomes a secure place through which the towel can easily slide in and out. So convenient for when the towel becomes soiled, it can easily be removed to be washed.
A 3" wooden ring is recommended, but I will show you in the video how a 2" wooden ring will work well also. A bonus to using a 2" ring is that the towel can't be easily stripped out of the ring by a toddler, doggie or kitty cat.
Additionally, I'll be showing you how to sew a shank to a flat back button. This technique ensures that the thick button loop securely fastens behind the button, preventing the towel holder from slipping off when placed over oven or fridge handles.
