Crochet Very Easy Four Strand Braided Headband

Crochet very easy braided headband. Step by step crochet tutorial. Adult size. It can be made in smaller size. I recommend to make the headband 1 to 1.5 inch smaller than head circumference. This is great for scrap yarn project.
Yarn used: Medium 4 weight yarn 100% acrylic
Crochet hook: 5.0mm and 4.25mm
72 Chains is 19 inches without stretching.
Skill level: Beginner to easy.
Abbreviations:
Ch- chain
SC- single crochet
HDC - half double crochet
Sts- stitches
Time lapse:
How to join all strands together at 7:26
How to braid with four strands at 13:19
To join the band at 21:05

This is perfect... I have always looked for projects in December that have to meet 2 criteria: they are great stocking stuffers/gifts AND can use up the majority of my leftover yarns that I've assembled throughout the year!! hello, You can start the same numbers. Just shorten the rows. At 9:57 of the video. I work HDC into each St. You can repeat it one more row or more to your desired size or stopped at the end of row 3.. I think this one will fit for teen. It's 19 inches unstretch. Thank you.

Hello, You can start the same Chains but shorten the rows at the back or make 62 beginning chains. If the braid is not long enough, You can Adjust the size by adding more rows before to join the band. I hope it helps. Thank you.

Help! I followed your directions and began with 72 stitches. The measurement came out (I stretched) 22 inches. I’m using same yarn and hook size. Any assistance would be appreciated.
