you are right on the hourly, but the reason why it's not great is because everyone takes a different amount of time on things, and if someone took 5 hours to sew a shirt that is the same quality as a factory in 5 minutes, its like not... comparable, even if they are paid the best wages in the world. crochet is a little different tho as im not sure how it is mass produced lol. but you definitely see crochet things in stores so it must be done somehow? could just be a really convincing knit stitch. i dont know. in some cases its real, but people who dont crochet really wont be able to tell the difference, which is why they might value it the same anyway.
