I love this video. I used size 10 crochet thread, followed your instructions, and made a mermaid tail keychain for my grand daughter's backpack @

Kitty, thank you for sharing this adorable pattern! I saw where someone’s tail was wonky, mine was too. I figured out you have to skip the slip stitch and the first stitch!! After that I did perfect. I was counting the slip stitch as one, because a lot of times you go back into the slip stitch area to do a stitch. So when I reminded myself to skip slip stitch and the first stitch, I was on track. I can’t wait to make another one!

I just came across your pattern working on the fin part when I turn at the bottom of the fin my yarn is on the wrong side whst did it do wrong?????

Question.. first row that you decrease on the fin you end up with 6 or 7 stitches? I did ch 9 then 8 sc so when I decreased I had 7 at the end.
