Hi Phil, You have seriously knocked that off. The timing and sound is so close to the original. Wow a real credit to you and wonderful effort my friend.
Hi Steve - always good to hear from you and very pleased you liked this one from The Shadows last Album. I always enjoy playing to Andrew's BT and very pleased you liked it... All the best.. Phil
Excellent Phil loved the pick and finger combination the tone you achieve on your guitars is amazing just a great cover I shall be learning that one thanks
Hi Phil, I loved the sound of the echos, so rich & deep, also the dual string work at 2.46, Andrew's BT is superb too, I loved it all the way 👍👍👍🎸👏 Best wishes Ric
Wow!!!! Phil. Fantastic version and terrific sound my friend. Congratulations to you for your interpretation and to your son Andrew for the great BT. Best regards /Antonio
Thanks very much Eric - my word you must get up early in the mornings or am I just lazy Lol. Glad you liked this one - nearly there now with the album covers. All the best... Phil
Ah yes Miami Vice, I remember it well. I was addicted to that show in my youth. I loved all of the backgrounds around Miami and the ocean that they used. It was long before I ever got to actually go there. Really nice job on the theme. You know it might be the number of t-shirts in the collection which is your Vice and not the number of guitars you have. I have to tell you I'm still a little bit jealous of all days specialty t-shirts you seem to come up with
Ha Ha - I seem to buy them wear them a couple of times and then get bored with them Lol.. Yes I remember the TV series well and the music has always been a favourite glad you liked it cheers Mike... Phil
hi Phil, this is a wonderful tune even there is not a lot of playing. Sounds great and Andrews BT is perfect as alway. I remember when I recorded my version I had to turn down the lower E-string to get the last notes. And because I have no pitchfork I had to doubletrack this part. BTW- Kurt Fröberg sent me a mail that the Scarborough band will perform at VERDEN in october so I have the chance now to meet him and Lennart Clerwall there. Take care, Ernst
Thanks very much Ernst yes as you say not a lot to the playing most of the work is done in the backing :-) wanted to do this one to continue with the Reflection covers - Just one left to do. Good news you will see the Ryders & Lennart at Verden. All the best.. Phil
Спасибо большое за работу! Это моя любимая музыкальная композиция и ваш кавер мне очень нравится. У вас прекрасно получается,вы дарите положительные эмоции! :)
Thanks very much Nikki - I've just got "Riders in the Sky " to do and I've covered them all . At least the Shadows went out on their best album :-) Many thanks for your good comments... Cheers Phil
Thanks JZ - Thanks for your good comment - Currently I've done currently 314 instrumentals :-) ru-vid.com/group/PLBBD63BD35B2788CC&feature=plcp Cheers Phil
That was a new one on me bro but really liked it. NZ lost a guitar icon this week, like Hank he inspired any to take up the guitar in the late 50s and 60s. He backed many overseas entertainers when they had shows in NZ and wrote quite a bit of what he played. I have had his albums on mp3 for years and in my phone. Peter Posa. Anyway all the best
Hi Ken - thanks for your good comments on my new one. Sorry to hear about Peter Posa - I looked up The White Rabbit and he had a style and sound very similar to Bert Weeden and played a similar guitar. Another sad loss. Kind regards.. Phil
Good number .I`ve got the single by Jan Hammer . You`ve played it spot on .Nice sound and great play .Like it ..............10 / 10 ! lol Cheers , Roger
Hi Master Phil, this has been a great cover of The SHADOWS "REFLECTION" Album does not seem to me that this is a theme of a movie saying in the title that it is "Theme" you have played very well I like the way that runs the notes and the touches on the frets was to propose an idea there is a song by Hank Marvin called "Pipeline" I wanted to ask you if you did not want to record it in cover and upload it as I think it is a great Hank Marvin classic with Duane Eddy and in turn also Hank Marvin and Ben Marvin they also played Pipeline Live I wanted to say that if I wanted to record it, oh yes, if you liked it first and if I had the Pipeline Baking track for me to do the tabs Greetings and very well Made Angel😀😀😀😀😀🎸🎸🎸
Hi Angel - Yes I know pipeline well - just havent got around to it yet.Lol I've sent you an email and thanks for your good comments on this one. All the best.. Phil
Neither - It was made my a UK Luthier called Alan Brason, - The wood (birds eye maple) is imported from Baltimore USA and the guitar is a COPY of the Fender 40th Anniversary model - the one Hank Marvin used to play. All the best Phil
@@random275 ohh that's interesting then. Only reason why I ask because usa is more expensive than Mexico your talking over a 1,000 pound in value of its made from you usa but it has to say we're if its made in usa in order to make it expensive value. To my knowledge
Good Morning Phil, though a new song the style sounded familiar and in a way similar to some of Pink Floyd nos. You played it so well and the tone great as usual. Heavy stuff. Indeed !! I am thoroughly enjoying your version of Crockett's Theme. The drizzle has stopped but no signs of the sun may show up as the day progresses. Guess you are enjoying the sun and a sundowner or two. I sign off with this vintage no. by Billy Vaughn for you to enjoy ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DJMjqVSB9KU.html and keep smiling till we meet again. Bye!
Hi Krishna - yes this was the theme tune from a TV series called Miami Vice back in the '80's. and the Shadows did a good cover of it, Thanks for the link to never on a sunday - the one I know is this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WSL6YNCU4bc.html All the best.. Phil
