Crockett's Theme - The Shadows - cover by Dave Monk

"Crockett's Theme" is an instrumental song written for the hit NBC series Miami Vice. The surname Crockett refers to Don Johnson's character, James "Sonny" Crockett. The initial version of the theme first appeared in the episode Calderone's Return: Part 1 - The Hit List which aired on October 19, 1984. The song was composed by Jan Hammer.
In 1990 The Shadows recorded a guitar version of Crockett's Theme on their album Reflection.
Here is my version of this great catchy tune.
The bass sound was created by using the pitch shifter on my AX3000G

p.s. I wasn't happy with the original sound quality on this recording, so I re-recorded it and added the soundtrack to the original video, so you may notice some inconsistencies between the video and soundtrack.

The Shadows Dave ...............they must have covered everything including The Teddy Bears picnic by all account ! lol No originality now . I only know the Jan Hammer version which I have single of .It`s a great tune too . You`ve done it pretty well spot on too and excellent download. Red Mex doing the bis too ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yes I always think you seem to play my favourites with this one .Maybe because of it`s more twangier bassy tones .I did enjoy it very much Dave .....10 / 10 Cheers .
